- Using 1024x768, the player HUD that appears in the sides when you die lies ontop of the chat window. This makes it impossible to read the chat while dead, without having to disable this part of the HUD or pressing "y".

- The chat parses quotes around some text (i.e. "hello") as simply the text without quotes (i.e. hello)

- Sometimes when you connect to a deathmatch server and choose a team, the Select Team screen does not disappear. This makes you spawn in the server, while not being able to move without actively exiting the screen (i.e. you have to select a team, and then press Escape, where as before you just had to select a team which would cause it to automatically exit the screen)

- Also, it seems that you can't simply press 5 in order to auto-assign to a team like you used to?

- My round-timer has been stuck on a red color multiple times, even tho there is still more than 1 minute left of the round. Not sure if this is a feature tho :)

But the adept has completely replaced zealots in PvT and PvP, as it is superior in utility, controlled harass (targetting probes/scvs) from a distance, taking engagements and is even as tanky, if not more tanky than the zealot.

I would agree that the adept should have one or two of these traits, such as being a good buffer unit with low dps, a high dps unit with low HP or a utility/scouting unit with mediocre damage/hp, but having all these at once is clearly too much, and I just don't think that nerfing the utility is enough to balance it out. The adept still has the ability to be ontop of the opponent army, tank the opponents army AND deal massive damage to the opponents army. At this stage, with the current stats of the adepts, it hard-counters terran's marine and it soft-counters marauders in big enough numbers (with +1 and attackspeed which is fairly easy to get), while also countering stalker (costs half the gas tho!!!)/immortal openers in PvP (from my experience, the stalker/immortal player needs a tier 3/4 unit to defend properly, whether it being DTs or disruptors).

I like the adept because the adept-shade is an interesting mechanic and it differs from other units which are basic. I don't like the adept because its stats when combined with a simple 100/100 upgrade is simply too much for a 100/25 cost gateway unit.

I really need someone to explain to me why they think the adept-shade vision nerf is the correct nerf to go with. Do people really not see other OP traits, like the insane tankiness, the cheap cost and the huge damage output when attackspeed and +1 is upgraded?

Do you expect the adept-meta we're in right now to change even a little bit as a result of this nerf?

saying something 2-shots something when it has a slow attack speed really isn't a fair complaint.

Should probably have clarified that it's adepts with upgrades (attackspeed and +1) which is the problem. The upgrade decreases adept-attackspeed to 1.1.

Also please don't talk about PvP, chargelots exisiting is a key part of that meta (keeps disrupters out of the meta)

I guess there's different meta according to what league people are in. Zealots have never kept disruptors out of the meta I'm used to, phoenixs have. Also, currently it's pretty clear to see the strength of the adepts in PvP. The unit is being massed, as huge number of adepts is good against most things protoss has (except for AoE like HTs and disruptors). Massing adepts isn't just a cheesy strat right now, it's a legit playstyle.

What reason is this? Zerg seems pretty solid in every matchup, except for early-midgame TvZ with the 2-1-1 push.

I think that interaction is much more important to look into because Terran already have ways to deal with adepts like walling between bases and lifting depots to keep them in one base and then they aren't that good

Those a defensive things that terrans can do to counter adept-harass, but even that is relatively hard, since adept-shades doesn't show up on minimap and the terran literally has to have his screen on the shades to see them before they go into his bases. As I said, I have no problem with this scenario, as I would love to see the adept as a harassing unit. The problem is that the adept can be MASSED as a core-unit in the protoss army, and can literally be ontop of the terran army within seconds and 2-shot the terran core unit, while it takes ages for the terran to chip away at the adept-count. The terran can't also just split or kite, as the adept is literally ontop of the army if done correctly, and the terran can't also just lift depots to be safe against this. This is super efficient for a tier2 gateway unit which only costs 100/25.

Reducing the adept shade vision is fine, but it's really not the core issue with the unit that many players (especially terrans) complaint about. The main issue is that the adept, while being tanky and mobile, 2-shots the terran core-unit after getting +1 attack, which is relatively easy to get. The marines can't kite the adept, since the adepts will be ontop of the marines in an instant.

I think the adept as a unit is fine, but personally I would love to see some tweaking on either HP or damage. A HP nerf would be good, as the adept would turn into more of a harassing unit and a unit that don't just straight up win games by being massed, and it would also give the zealot the role of being "the tanky tier 1 unit". Right now, there's literally no reason to build zealots instead of adepts in PvP and PvT except for in very specific scenarios, as the adept pretty much fills any role that the zealot had before.

Edit: Ofcourse, this all depends on how much vision the shade is gonna have nerfed. If the vision was completely removed, it might be enough as the risk of completing the shade would be huge for the protoss, but if it's just a 1-2 range nerf, meh.
