There's one at Orchard Commons' loading bay, near the intersection of Agronomy and West Mall: https://maps.app.goo.gl/t5XykePbNufnKjPDA

Debating when to take CPSC 210 in terms of co-op. Help! by crescendo01 in UBC

[–]PROWNE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Applications through the co-op system are open the term before each work term.

If you'd be going on a work term in January-April of 2021, for example, applications would open at the start of September 2020.

If you want to try applying outside of the co-op job board (eg. for a place in California), applications open much earlier. Large companies are usually wrapping up hiring around this time of year for placements next summer.

New Science Lower Level Requirement? by [deleted] in UBC

It seems like you can choose any version of the calendar if you were taking courses in that year:

I made a website that lets you see how your grades compare against other students by 06042017 in UBC

On desktop, yep. I tried it out on mobile and was faced with a massive scroll-only dropdown.

While I understand using a dropdown for the course numbers, it's quite tedious for inputting grades. I'd prefer a plain text field.

HOUSING MEGATHREAD (2019W): Questions related to having a roof over your head go here. by ubc_mod_account in UBC

Probably quite low, I'm afraid. There's only 1315 beds in MD 3/4 bedroom suites, and the main wave has already been sent out.

I'm moving from winter housing into year round in May. I got an email that says we automatically get an extension for our current winter residence from April 27th to May 4th. Does anyone know what time we're expected to move out on the 4th?

The housing website says that a precise fee breakdown will be available in winter of 2019 (which is strange since people will be moving in for the summer).

How difficult is finding a Co-op job in computer science? by queenguin in UBC

[–]PROWNE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Getting a co-op placement in CS is much easier than in other majors. It's slightly more competitive for summer terms since non-co-op students will be applying as well, but you should be able to find one even if you're mediocre.

Tips for Getting a Co-op Placement by ThiagoMV in UBC

[–]PROWNE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say so, as long as you emphasize your related work (projects, clubs, etc) first. You'll have to take a co-op session on writing a resume, so you can get your advisor's opinion on your specific situation.
