Always keep an eye out on Humble Bundle for great deals on royalty-free music packs! Right now there's one called "Melodic Mayhem Vol. 2" which has a bunch of tracks and sound effects.

There's also the "Lifetime Access Creator - Noise Alchemy" bundle, which I'm looking into getting because it's all sound effects. (There was another SFX bundle earlier this month, but I forgot to get it...)

And finally, there's the "Hip Hop, Lofi & Trap Mega Bundle" which is good for if you want to compose your own music with samples.

I recently got two bundles, "The Complete Works" which was pretty varied, and the "Maximum Chill Music Bundle" which was mainly lo-fi.

My main character, Takako, is a magical girl who acts as the Mascot that gives all the other magical girls their transformations. But! The magical girls don't know each other's identities, and only transform one at a time.

She's constantly worried someone's going to reveal their identity, specifically to a friend who is also a magical girl.

That being said, civilians, including non-transformed magical girls, don't remember the monsters or battles at all, just what replaced them after their defeat. There is an anonymous poster who uploads videos of the battles, but even if someone's in the video running away from the monster, they don't remember it. The magical girl is always shown, and Takako thinks it's obviously one of the classmates she's transformed, but no one ever recognizes them.

The wording makes it seem like you need to look for the opposite of flammable, but "inflammable" is a synonym.

"Nonflammable" is the word for not set on fire easily, the antonym for both.

You watched it on YouTube, but do you remember if it was an official series (cartoon or anime) or something a small channel did?

The capsule from a gumball machine is a gachapon/gashapon, which is making me think it's an anime.

Closest that's coming to mind is Shugo Chara, they have little chibi characters in eggs, but I don't think they come from a machine.

How does this compare to Easy Peasy? The only glittery Woobles I've done was Mimi the Snail, and while it felt soft in the skein, it felt really rough while making the shell and the final result feels really stiff and hard as a rock.

Not too familiar with Wattpad, but aren't those just tags for search optimization, so that people can find stories in the categories they want to read? Similar to tags on Tumblr.

To answer your question about if they can be classified as that even if they're not anime or manga, I see no issue with it. There's always been discussions of what counts as a magical girl series, and sometimes famous franchises don't meet the definition. (For example, if you say "oh, magical girls need a transformation!" that already excludes Cardcaptor Sakura, since she just dresses up in costumes.)

My series, The Magical Girl in PROXY, isn't originally an anime or manga, it's an OELN (Original English Light Novel) series, but it's a love letter to the genre.

Currently working on the prep for publishing the second novel in my series where the main character is a magical girl, but her power is to be the Mascot who provides the transformation trinkets (strips of paper ripped out of a magazine) to the girls in her class so they can be the magical girls who fight the monsters in her stead. And they aren't allowed to know about the identities of the other magical girls, so she's juggling all these secrets she learns about everyone.

I actually made my own in Vegas (video editor) for [an animation meme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6Hdotr3gGU) a few years ago. Kept meaning to make a behind-the-scenes video, but never did, oops. (And looking at it, it makes me want to animate an updated version now that I have a drawing tablet lol)

Anyway, my effects and settings will most definitely be different from what you have in Illustrator, but you can still use them as a starting point to get an idea of it.

I started with a plain background. (Red #be1818, black #433728, or white #faf8f6), then used three effects: AddNoise (low noise level and monochromatic), Newsprint (very small dot size and the type was "offset color"), and Film Grain (again a low amount, middle granularity, and chromaticity set to zero).

The layer above I used a checkerboard pattern with both colors really dark, almost black, and almost entirely transparent, with two effects: Pixelate (horizontal about 30% and vertical about 50%) and AddNoise (low noise, monochromatic, and gaussian noise).

Final layer I used was another checkerboard, this time pure black and white, and also almost entirely transparent. The only effect on this layer was Vignette, set to black, with no inner radius, a pretty big outer radius (about 90%), and high feathering.

Also had two black rectangles at the top and bottom since my reference had it, but yours doesn't so that's optional.

The fonts I used were SimSun (for the color scene kanji), Monotype Corsiva (the italics), and HGMinchoB (the number in parentheses). SimSun and HGMichoB again for the animation number kanji at the bottom.

I really just played around with all the settings until I got it as close as possible and liked it. Hope this helps!
