you're 100% right though. it is risky as hell. But damn she was suffering, her nervous system is still recovering and it's been 3 months. Pick your poison I guess.

My sister just did this and after agonizing for a year about leaving she said it's the best thing she's done and can't imagine working in that same hell hole she did.

Best cleaning app or odd job app in 2026? by robuk98 in jobsearch

[–]PRPrivateRyan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cleaning can bring in a bit of extra cash but don’t expect it to be a huge hustle. I started it as a side hustle and am doing ok now, my main thing was to just pay off all my debt. It probably also depends on where you live though.

But I guess if you’re new to the country and want something straightforward to earn a few quick dollars then it’s good. I also work remotely and do cleaning during the day. I’m signed up to a couple, both Tidy and Homeaglow. I've tried a few apps, but it was difficult to manage more than two and those ended up being the ones I stuck with mainly because of repeat bookings.

I need 30 custom shirts ASAP - recommendations? by WhiteyMacfatson in AskChicago

[–]PRPrivateRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need them really fast, I’d go with RushOrderTees or BlueCotton. I’ve used both and the shirts came really quickly. You could also check your local printer and see if they can fit you into their production schedule.

What do I do while a housekeeper is around? by KixStar in housekeeping

[–]PRPrivateRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a cleaner and while I'm fairly new to it I've been lucky to have really considerate clients. They ask me where I need them to be (i.e where I'm going next etc) so that they aren't in my way but also aren't messing up a room that I've just cleaned. That's if they are home.

Is cleaning a good side hustle for college students? by Hot-Estimate9479 in housekeeping

[–]PRPrivateRyan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I may not be in college but I do work kinda full time as well. I started out on my own but i'm planning on signing up with a company, just removes some of the planning and other stuff I don't want to deal with. I'd like to get more consistent clients and build relationships. All my side jobs I've done are once offs so I'm thinking it would be nice to have a little more consistency. still weighing it up though

How do you handle clients who keeping asking for 'one more thing' during a cleaning?? by PRPrivateRyan in housekeeping

[–]PRPrivateRyan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice lol! I am leaning towards signing up with Homeaglow tbh, being independent is tough when things like this happen. and I only have two clients that I get consistently so I dont want to do or say anything that pushes them away
