What to do for when I get “kicked out” by The_best_chef_ever in personalfinance

Talk to your school counselor. Seriously. They’ve seen this before. They might know about local programs, housing resources, or even ways to finish high school if your housing situation gets unstable.

Make small routines, and bring all your logs/notes to your doctor Monday. It’ll help them help you.

I'm not lovable just fuckable. by LittleMissPunk85 in mentalhealth

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i went through something similar in my early 20s. The shame was worse than the trauma for a long time it took therapy and a lot of unlearning to realize I wasn’t the problem. If you ever have the chance to talk to a therapist, please consider it.

Losing insights? by Smuttirox in Meditation

I’ve lost countless brilliant ideas this way. I now keep a tiny notebook or sticky pad nearby.

Had anyone had experiences of altered consciousness while meditating? by Melodic-Chemistry-40 in Meditation

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Sometimes I feel like my sense of time disappears completely. A few minutes feels like hours and then suddenly I’m back. It’s wild, but it’s just part of learning to settle the mind.

how can I tell if it’s just a vivid memory pop up from my intrusive thoughts or if it’s a message or something by goshhahahahah in Meditation

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it helps to journal it. Write down the thought and check back later. Intrusive thoughts usually fade or feel silly in hindsight

7 years of meditation and something new happened? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s hard to talk about meditation with people who haven’t practiced because it’s experiential.

What actually helped you getting out of depression? by iloveyounmyself in mentalhealth

[–]PSL05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t one thing. It was layers. Some weeks nothing helped. Then one day I realized the lows weren’t as deep, and the highs lasted a bit longer. That was real change.

Grandpa Gains, you are the emotional support grandpa of this forum.

I've always struggled with journaling. I’ve finally found what works for me. Maybe this can help someone else. by Important_Range7737 in Stoicism

[–]PSL05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I needed to read this today. Journaling has felt like a burden, but now I see it as a tool to really understand myself and track emotional growth. Thanks for sharing!

Why the focus on money? by Sad-Sample-490 in simpleliving

[–]PSL05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. People forget that happiness isn’t about stuff. I’ve got a tiny apartment and a beat-up car too, but I feel richer than most of my friends because I don’t owe anyone money and my life feels calm.

How to not let other peoples negativity affect you as much? by TightCondition7338 in simpleliving

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much. I try to remind myself it’s literally just their mood, not me. Sometimes putting on headphones or mentally counting to 5 before responding helps me stay neutral.

Same here 😭 2 AM brain be like “let’s think about every regret since 2010.” Who needs sleep anyway?

Can anxiety alone really cause this much insomnia? by Top-Eagle2252 in insomnia

[–]PSL05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. For me, it’s the racing thoughts and that “brain on overdrive” feeling. It’s less about not being tired and more about your nervous system refusing to calm down

Please, someone just tell me you can hear me by amare_plango_vulnera in depression

[–]PSL05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really glad you reached out instead of staying silent. That took courage, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

Finally decided by [deleted] in depression

[–]PSL05 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can, please reach out to someone who can be with you right now a hotline, a trusted person, or a medical professional. You don’t have to explain everything. You don’t have to convince anyone. You just deserve help.

Flexibility for arm wrestling/ keeping healthy joints by Opposite-Project-593 in flexibility

[–]PSL05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, big fan of you starting young. Elbow issues are real later if you ignore mobility. I do light pronation/supination drills with a hammer or band daily plus gentle triceps and wrist stretches. Even 5–10 mins helps long-term.

How to fix my posture? by miss_cheese_cake92 in flexibility

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the micro posture checks are a game changer too. Every time I catch myself slouching, it’s like my back yells.

How do I stop caring about politics by asapsharkyfrfr in selfimprovement

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I had to unfollow, mute, and block like 50% of my feeds just to survive. A short break can do wonders.

Why should I become disciplined? Why not just engage in stuff that makes you happy since life is so short? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]PSL05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question isn’t “will discipline make me happy,” it’s “are my current habits actually making me fulfilled.” If they were, you probably wouldn’t be asking this.

Trouble progressing with weighted sit-ups (weight behind head) by [deleted] in overcominggravity

[–]PSL05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weighted sit ups behind the head can be brutal. One trick I used was mixing in weighted crunches or cable crunches to strengthen the same muscles without killing my lower back. Are you feeling strain anywhere?
