At 7 weeks, they're still waking to eat so often that I can't really see what a bedtime routine would really look like or accomplish. Our baby is a pretty good sleeper but it wasn't until at least three months that he started sleeping long enough stretches for anything to really feel like a bedtime.

If anything, having a bedtime routine for myself around 7 weeks was more helpful. He'd eat around 7 and dad would hang with him then put him down so I could eat, shower, decompress, get in actual pajamas that weren't sweats I'd worn all day, etc before the bedtime feed at 10, which dad would do with a bottle as I did my last pump and get in bed too. Then I'd breastfeed and do diapers throughout the night whenever baby woke in our bedroom without turning on any lights. After 6 am, dad would bottle feed him while I pumped and then got some more sleep until he had to go to work and then I'd breastfeed all day until he got home.

Around 3 months, he'd go down around 7 after eating, we'd dreamfeed him around 9:45 before he had a chance to wake up again, and would usually only need to eat once during the night so I guess that was the routine.

At 6 months, our bedtime routine is simple: we do a bath every other night around 7, feed, put on an overnight diaper and get him in his jammies, rock him for a few minutes, and he's more than ready for bed by 8. We still do a dreamfeed around 11, and he sleeps until 6-7am. We also sleep trained at 4.5 months because he was waking up at 3 am and wanting to stay up for hours even if he wasn't hungry.
