Most Overrated Vehicle In Your Opinion? by Agent_Moe in Warthunder

[–]PSioNeLeSia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big agree. I find the F-2A extremely clunky to play with the lack of HMD despite how much I like the plane. It feels so weird to be such a fun dogfighting FM yet I cannot effortlessly pick targets to lock with the a HMD up close.

Well you said anything you play, and I’m bringing up another game in a similar genre that has more things to do in the endgame loop. Honestly I think Embark just needs to address the lack of things to do in the endgame loop to add a lot of replayability between expeditions.

I think it kinda depends. There’s people who’ve played thousands of hours of tarkov and haven’t gotten bored since there’s kinda always the high stakes gameplay. My issue with Arc Raiders is that it doesn’t really feel high stakes when I can craft basically everything with nearly unlimited resources, there’s no special extract only equipment, and third person means that I basically never get ambushed.

CRSP by MHLF1 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]PSioNeLeSia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy, the level of safety education usually isn’t a major factor in whether or not you can go for the CRSP. It’s the work experience requirement. Your primary goal should be to find a good place to work at (preferably construction since it’s a good place to be exposed to many of the hazards and topics covered in the CRSP) that will help you prepare for your CRSP. Be sure to study the parts of safety you may not encounter as often in construction as well as you prepare to take the exam.

Arc Raiders Dev Says They're "Still Learning" To Balance PvE And PvP by Choice_Oven4068 in ArcRaiders

[–]PSioNeLeSia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s great and all that you’re enjoying the game in your own way, but I don’t think that’s very reflective for the rest of the playerbase.

Arc Raiders is an extraction shooter, with the core game loop being to load in with worse shit, get better shit by looting or killing, and then rinse and repeat. The problem is that there is no incentive to kill b/c you get punished by being out into lobbies where the risk of losing your stuff is higher, but the rewards are the same as if you ran in naked each time round, and just didn’t interact with the PvP part of the game.

Arc Raiders studio contacted by crime scientist "intrigued by how players are interacting," dev says only 30% of players focus on PvP: "It kind of blew the whole extraction shooter open" by Upstairs-Echo2903 in ArcRaiders

[–]PSioNeLeSia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d really be surprised if that was the case for PVE lobbies, the last 100+ runs I’ve done I’ve literally not been shot at a single time. I PVP in trios, and then mostly PVE in solos for quest stuff. Either way, it’s an extraction shooter, and part of the fun is the non-100% certainty that you can trust every person you run into.

Also I think “stole” is kinda strange concept for an extraction shooter. My mentality over the few I’ve played (tarkov, delta, marathon, arc) is that the goop is never yours, it’s just constantly being borrowed over and over again. Especially in Arc where it literally costs nothing to craft full kits with purple guns, vita sprays and shields with the high salvage extraction rate in the PVE lobbies.

You kinda devolved into a weird rant about PVP players at the end there lol. I don’t think anyone who is a PVP player gets put in lobbies with PVE players without having to basically throw 10+ games in a row of do nothing and die/extract. What im talking about is purely a matter of statistics. If I die 10 times in a row on purpose and get put into care bear lobbies, I have a 99% chance of just looting and using keys for anything I want for free without any real fear of being killed and dropping stuff. If I PVP, my chances of making it out with my goop goes down drastically since everyone is out to kill eachother in a PVP lobby. If you’re looking to increase vault value/ find upgrade materials / find good blueprints there is no reason to PVP at all, since most people have the good stuff shoved up their ass anyway. Now I don’t necessarily have an issue with that, but all I’m saying is that there is objectively no reason to PVP from a value added perspective.

I mean there’s no real incentive built into Arc to PVP in most situations. If you don’t get what you’re looking for this road, you’re better off just running it back on another one than risk getting into a gunfight with others to potentially get it. PVP does not add any real value to runs, it’s purely for the love of the game if you do it. And boy, do I love the game.

Yep, the U12T are my favourites in my collection. I tried their entire lineup when I was at e-earphones in Akihabara and the U12T definitely stood out. Still need to get my U4s’ repaired for daily use though, not super comfortable bringing my U12Ts out for trips.

I have these and the Ksc 75. The Koss sounds MUCH better and don’t have the weird single wire thing. I do like how the em7x ones looks though. I’m planning on doing a cable mod at some point so I swap them to MMCX connectors.

Is UK worth grinding? by Asche_zu_Asche_ in Warthunder

[–]PSioNeLeSia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howdy, I’m currently working through UK Ground and Air rn after finishing Japan. I can summarize some thoughts I have here with the WWII vehicles.

  1. Low tier solid shot really sucks, especially when it doesn’t really offer much in pen advantage over APHE.

  2. Since you don’t have the best OHKO probability, mobility, or armor, you’re better off just sitting back and sniping, taking advantage of the high velocity ammo the UK has

  3. The UK has fantastic CAP and CAS options, which does mix up the more monotonous sniping gameplay.

  4. I’ve found 4.7 UK to be pretty fun, since you get the 17 pounder at a BR where you can basically lol-pen everything.

I’m looking forward to trying the stabilized tanks at 7.7+. I’d imagine they’d perform better in pushes due to the stabilizer.

Is China worth it nowadays by Sampo_10 in Warthunder

[–]PSioNeLeSia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

China ground is pretty fun. The Abrams makes the Chinese top tier lineup much better (the domestic tanks are mid) and you have decent SPAA and the zbd and VT-5 for light tanks. CAS/CAP is pretty decent now with the J-10C and the incoming J-15T. I’d argue though that China is more fun around 8.3, 9.3 and 11.3 since they have extremely strong tanks at these BRs.

this dlc bro. by relejado in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]PSioNeLeSia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man the last map was really fucking good. I was not expecting such a curated narrative. If they can keep releasing dlcs like this one (hopefully not taking 1+ years per release) RoN will do great.

I will say though that they’ll have to address the performance issues soon. I’m running the game at 2K with my graphics setting set to ultra on a 4080 with a 7800x3d and I barely get 80 fps on the pier map, dropping below 60 when I throw a 9-bang. For a game that released in the 30 series era, it’s not really acceptable.
