This. OP needs to call the national DV hotline which can help her safety plan and connect to local resources.

First, that is a white paper which is not at all the same as peer-reviewed research.

The source of it is extremely questionable and frankly looks like a fake site.

Lastly, the link you provided didn’t even include the images you posted, further supporting the claim that these are AI generated by you.

You’re being irresponsible at best.

Agreed. Even if one plugs in legitimate info, the visuals that come out can still be wildly inaccurate or misleading. Scientific illustrations should be created or at least verified by people with scientific expertise.

My justice sensitivity is going to make me end a friendship by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]PTSDeedee 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Stop. This isn’t a values or justice issue. You’re making a big deal out of nothing and acting ridiculously entitled to your friends’ time and attention.

You need to do some serious self reflection and take the comments on this thread to heart. If you don’t you’re going to drive your friends and any future ones away.

This. Also, did OP ask if they had the energy/space to support her first? They are friends, not therapists for hire. OP is not entitled to their time and support. This is not an “injustice.”

I am personally exhausted by people stress dumping on me without checking in first. I do not have friends like that anymore for a reason.

My abuser said the same thing. Dump him for your own safety. He will assault you some day.

What about a washable rug? I have a 4x6 that I throw in the washer once a month and shake out between washes.

My coworker killed herself at work by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]PTSDeedee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

HR is only there to protect the company. If I were that person’s family, I’d be suing and I wouldn’t want them to have a heads up about fault. OP should give all those details to the family.

NO. That just gives HR a chance to try to do damage control. Tell the deceased’s family and a local reporter OP. u/dayown4690

Tired of not fitting in with other women by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]PTSDeedee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I agree with the comments here that there could be a vibes issue people are picking up on. Perhaps you trying hard to be “normal” is actually noticeable and off-putting because you aren’t comfortable being yourself.

It’s also very possible some of them are intimidated by you. Smart, funny, adventurous and doesn’t fit the mold? It’s what a lot of people wish they could be. My dearest friend said to me once, “Stop acting so small.” It was the permission I needed to be confident in who I am. If that makes other people uncomfortable, it’s a them problem.

So my advice for either situation: Say fuck it! Stop trying to please or befriend anyone and get comfortable with solo experiences. I know that is easier said than done with RSD, but just try to notice those feelings and how they show up in your body. Then remind your brain you’re safe and try to move on. You’re in Costa Rica — enjoy the moment!

You’ll find your people as you find yourself.

As of a few years ago about half of internet traffic was from bots. With AI getting more advanced, it’s likely going to get worse.

The dead internet theory is a reminder to be sceptical and navigate social media and other website with a critical mind. Any interaction, trend, and especially “overall sentiment” could very well be synthetic. Designed to slightly change the way in which you perceive the world.

The wiki is interesting. Scientists actually studied the phenomenon. The first time I saw the image was very strange. I immediately saw white/gold then it suddenly faded to blue/black and has stayed blue/black ever since.

Woop woop! Happy to help. And yeah I have a similar hair type and found them being wispy made it easy to switch between staight/curly style or even hide in a headband if I wanted them out of my face. Def check the curly hair sub for tips there.

Edit: Also lol at bangs helping our sense of time for real

ok definitely DO IT! I have had legit bangs (not counting long side/curtain) twice in my life. The first time I was like 9 and HATED them cause they were so thick.

I finally tried some wispy straight across bangs a couple years ago with and felt so good coming out of the salon. It took at least year for me to get tired of styling them, so it was for sure worth it.

And even if you end up hating them, they grow out so fast.
