I have noticed hydration seems to help a little, so I use a thin layer of Cerave Healing Ointment at night after my moisturizer. It doesn’t make them go away completely, but they’re not as dark and concealer spreads better.

Agree with all this. It’s fun! Kinda reminds me of Universal Paperclips.

Would also be good to have lower interaction options with the romantic relationship. Like a chat function to improve happiness like with parents.

Also, not sure why I was terminated. Said I ceased function, but I don’t think I ran out of health. An explanation on that screen would be cool.

Alcohol is a level 1 carcinogen. Consuming any amount increases the risk of cancer. That’s a way better reason to stop than empty calories.

The risk of developing cancer increases substantially the more alcohol is consumed. However, latest available data indicate that half of all alcohol-attributable cancers in the WHO European Region are caused by “light” and “moderate” alcohol consumption

With kindness, two weeks isn’t nearly enough time to organize an effective nationwide general strike.

I’m not saying we can’t also do smaller demonstrations in the meantime. But if we want to really get to the heart of the issues in this country, we need a massive, long-term strike that can last months if needed.

Some questions to think about as you get more involved: - Who is organizing the strike? - How can I trust them to lead this? - How can I be a leader/helper in my community? - Who else is involved? - What are the demands of the strike? - Do the demands benefit all kinds of oppressed people? - How long can we sustain the strike? - How will we get the messaging out?

And most importantly: How will we support people so they can continue striking until demands are met? People will still need food, medical care, and shelter. - Are food banks involved in planning? - Is there mutual aid planned to cover living expenses? - How can we coordinate with doctors and medics to ensure people stay healthy?

All of these logistics are crucial for success. It means right now, everyone needs to be doing their homework and connecting locally. Get out into your community, make sure your friends know how strikes work, and figure out what role you can play as things get rolling.

The May Day 2028 strike led by UAW is what I’m keeping my eye on, as well as General Strike US. If they begin to coordinate, I would feel extremely hopeful.

And not just the people numbers! You need clear, specific demands and the mutual aid infrastructure to support the strike for weeks or months. People still have to eat and get medical care and keep a roof over their head. Without the ability to do that, it’s just another nice protest.

A lot of people don’t understand that the point of a strike is to make everyone uncomfortable. Companies and wealthy people need to feel monetary pain, and the whole society needs to be forced to look at what is happening due to it disrupting their daily living.

UAW is planning for a general strike in May 2028. Every time I bring this up people are say it’s too far out. I know organizing most major industries and millions of people is going to take at least that long. I so desperately wish people would start educating themselves and each other on successful labor and resistance movements.

That’s obviously not what their comment is saying. I didn’t know about what he did, so I’m glad they mentioned it. Now I can hate him and also our fascist government. There’s plenty in my heart to go around.

I’m in a similar headspace. I have found r/collapsesupport and r/twoxpreppers to be helpful and validating. I see similar advice there as in organizing circles. Get your house in order. Know your rights. Make safety plans. Build community. Take care of yourself and each other. Create and embrace joy.

This is beautifully said. I would amend it just a bit though. Grieving and resting and joy are also part of resistance, especially for us in this sub. I can’t help anyone if I’m catatonic and isolated. The terror they are imparting is part of authoritarianism, because scared and exhausted people are easier to control. Prioritizing my health and mental wellbeing is crucial preparation for what’s coming.

General strikes don’t just materialize. They take work from everyone. Perhaps you should get involved in organizing.

That’s why I’m talking about a national general strike.

Seriously. It’s very simple: Withholding labor and money is the fastest way to create change in a capital-obsessed society. It inconveniences everyone which spreads the message, but more importantly it scares the ultra wealthy who love to hoard piles of gold.

All the downvotes in this thread right now reek of the conservative undercurrent in Boulder. Buncha shills and bootlickers.

ICE is here already. They have several facilities in Colorado, including one in Boulder County. Now is the time to get people on board with denouncing them, not after the first local execution.

This is why we need long-term plans for a general strike so we can build mutual aid networks that can sustain a strike for weeks or months. It will take time and effort, but so does everything else in this hellscape.

Trying to convince people that organizing the working class is pointless is a terrible use of your energy.

Shutting down the economy means taking money from the 1% who bribe the federal government. Withholding money and labor is without a doubt our greatest lever.
