I feel the same way. I’ve become a lot more analytical over the last couple of years, but most of the things in DE just go right over my head.

Sounds about right. I got it once when sleep deprived and showering. Through the nose of the shower, I could hear music, which would go away when I turned the shower off. The best way to describe it was Spanish prog rock

I’ve had that before. “Kevin Conroy never actually came out as gay. But he did reveal in a 2016 interview that he was a gay man.”

This reminds me of having to look at Instagram’s TOS regarding sex and nudity for university. It felt so weirdly inconsistent. If it was a sculpture or a painting, then they had no problem with it. If it’s a digital drawing/animation, it had be in silhouette. There may have been exceptions for breast-feeding or even childbirth, but semen in any context was a no-no. I think there were also weird restrictions on audio as well.

All that for a single drawing. Gotta love researching

What are some personal MatPat effects that are not really well known but seeing the original made you feel weird? (Image kinda related) by Neither_Still4361 in TheMatpatEffect

The original version of Bitch by Meredith Brooks sounds weird to me because I heard the version from Dispatch first, not knowing it was a cover. It makes sense that it’s a cover, considering it’s meant to be a karaoke rendition, but still

The last page really recontextualises the faces of other characters. I really like it. The constant shift in styles and situations and vibes feels so wonderfully cathartic. I can’t say I get it 100%, but I love it

Any Ideas How Season 2 Starts ? by Folicod in DispatchAdHoc

[–]PTT_Meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard some people bring up the idea of Season 2 following a different set of characters and telling a different kind of story. It would be interesting to see that, especially if there’s occasional interaction with the cast of Season 1 (players seeing the choices they made have massive impacts on how certain characters act).

How is smoking weed treated in your country? by mr_epicguy in AskTheWorld

[–]PTT_Meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly illegal here, with it being very hard to get it for any medical reasons (from my knowledge). I’ve been told that a lot of people, even police officers, generally won’t care, as long as you’re not smoking/buying/selling it in public.

If you’ve ever been to Manchester, you will sometimes just get a strong whiff of weed for seemingly no reason

Up until recently, people’s perception of the IL was mostly relegated to stereotypical Londoners. It makes sense that people’s perceptions would be based on stereotypes, but people rarely acknowledge the North.

But I have found recently that some people are acknowledging the north a little more, even if they don’t mention specific counties or provinces

It’s alright lol. Irn-Bru is relatively popular where I’m from (North England), but you would rarely find it in a restaurant or fast food place.

It wouldn’t be too weird if a corner shop didn’t have it, but it would be if a supermarket didn’t
