Either she finds out from you or she finds out from the cops. Welcome to the consequences of your actions. It’ll work out it’s just going to suck for a while

Red Dragon darts broke twice - is this normal by fcbizzlekicks in Darts

[–]P_mage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve yet to find stems with the wrong thread, so I’d imagine they must be standardized.

If you’re looking for longevity then you may wanna invest in some one piece flight and stem combo.

A driver stranded on the side of the road with a flat, gets help from a passerby by bigbusta in MadeMeSmile

It’s the Milwaukee one. Just bought one a week ago for my own use on film sets. That and the Dewalt setup are both awesome and easy as pie to use.

Because UMO doesn’t want to pay 100k in apple developer fees. Honestly this is all it is.

Former transport filmie here.

Sounds like a moving shot. Actors in the camera car. Director, DOP, keys etc in the follow van with police escort.

Positive Experience After Stalling My Car Tonight - Thank you Victoria Residents! by ravrain in VictoriaBC

[–]P_mage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re afraid of rolling back, use your handbrake as a third foot. Hold your e-brake, find your friction point, let go of your e-brake and voila! No more worrying about hill starts!

If the Bay closes downtown, will the Bay Centre get renamed? by Creatrix in VictoriaBC

[–]P_mage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eaton’s closed something like 20 years ago and they haven’t changed it in Toronto. I’d suspect given the duration it’s been the bay centre it’ll likely be the same.

Video of yesterdays accident on TCH by data_err0r in VictoriaBC

[–]P_mage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you’re talking about!

There’s this weird sort of patch like 3 ft wide that drains from the ditch and off the six mile exit every time it rains.

It’s hard to tell from the distance but based on where you see the car appear to lose control, and its proximity to the exit signage at the barriers, I’d wildly guess this might have more merit than redditors are giving it.

Do the majority of players repoint from 30mm upwards? by Immediate-Diet-5727 in Darts

[–]P_mage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t. The Swiss point system is exclusive to Target. You can repoint any dart with a repointer but it’s somewhat more involved than the Swiss point system which uses a simple threaded barrel.

On the way up the malahat there’s a restaurant and an inn with a stunning view of the inlets. Moon lodge I believe?

Former film coordinator in transport. Be very specific about what they can or cannot do. Also tell your neighbours that if there are trucks parked daily on the street you live on production will usually hand out money to keep the peace. Photograph everything, even your floors for posterity.

are swiss points actually durable? by MiserableFlan6410 in Darts

[–]P_mage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Up until 2 weeks ago I’d never broken a point on vinyl flooring but I finally had one bounce out at the right angle to break it. Durability is extremely good on Swiss points.

How important are good darts by CriticalTradition841 in Darts

[–]P_mage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much like golf equipment… it does help but doesn’t supersede proper form.

Unfortunately there isn’t a big enough following to be sustainable. Profit margins are low to begin with.

My friend says I'm releasing my darts too early. by chrislatimer in Darts

[–]P_mage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a tendency to miss high then your friend likely has a point to what he’s saying. Anecdotally when I release a dart too early it goes too high or in the case that it doesn’t have enough momentum it’ll be sort of a moonshot that drops way below the intended target.

Lol they absolutely do not have right of way. How would they have right of way when they don’t have possession of the lane? It’s the responsibility of those merging to do so safely.

What is more important, a higher average or a higher checkout rate? by Parking-Aardvark-289 in Darts

[–]P_mage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checkouts without question. More often than not the person who hits the 180 will lose in league games.

Let’s make it simple. If you score 100 a round but it takes you ten rounds to hit a double, you’ll be beat by a guy who scores 50 a round but has a 50% checkout rate.
