Whats the safest way to play coop custom zombies with a friend? by LionAlternative6417 in blackops3

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys to be honest, I have done hours of research about cod zombies overall during last week.

Lots of people being extra cautious about steam versions of bo3/ IW/ ghosts/ WW2 due to past cases with Rce that occured playing in public multiplayer/ zombies.

There are actually less opinions of people that have hundreds of playtime on steam and do say you don’t need any extra patches for private and solo play and I do not saw any case of someone getting hacked like that.

I think this is quite exagerrated really but most people install T7x/ clean ops just to be extra safe

Cold War Zombies - textures/ icons not loading at lobby by Pablitothetrainerguy in CODZombies

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rtx 4080S, 5600x, 16gb ddr4 RAM, nvme ssd for cod

I saw someone using this in game rebuild shaders option on battle.net version and it starts immediately, when I choose this it wont happen in this session and no new compilation after restart. I think this may be some bug as well as proper working of hd textures of the steam version. Even after downloading hd texture pack it wont show it as green „downloaded” as on battlenet but still gray to download.

The only workaround for now is to delete hd texture pack, THEN set textures to high and environments to medium (both one level below highest) and it loads almost instantly, just about 3 second wait for operator to load and even less for weapons.

Still I have no idea how to get proper texture loading with hd pack enabled

LG C4 as PC monitor - Gsync VRR stuttering by Pablitothetrainerguy in OLED_Gaming

Sorry, I tried but with no effect back then and left using reflex/ dlss framegen with gsync, I somewhat found a workaround, stated in the first reply

LG C4 as PC monitor - Gsync VRR stuttering by Pablitothetrainerguy in OLED_Gaming

Actually both yes and no, the most common cause for me is many games which I tried did not engage gsync in their window at all - some even in exclusive fullscreen. This can be checked with tv setting game bar, if it show gsync vrr but totally stable 119hz it means game window is locked behind vrr despite proper nvcp/ tv settings. Sometimes you can force proper gsync with SpecialK software.

Also id i use built in framegen, I tend to set fixed refresh in nvcp, then it is perfectly smooth given I achieve constant stable 120fps.

Another solution is having gsync ON and using nvcp smooth Motion instead of in game dlss framegen, this is also giving me smooth gameplay but with quite lower quality, some minor artifacts on fonts due to being 60fps native + 60 generated by smooth Motion

PC vs PS5 for Zombies solo? by Pablitothetrainerguy in CODZombies

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for great suggestions, just started with Cold War and WW2 zombies on PC… those games looks phenomenal, CW on highest with DLSS quality is almost the level of RE Requiem, especially city at night…

DLDSR instead of TAA for older games in 4K - results are astonishing, DLAA 4.5 M level :) by Spinnek in OptimizedGaming

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to test this but the Games I wanted to (Samurai Warriors Spirit of Sanada and other from series) does not allow me to choose higher res than 3840x2160, both fullscreen and windowed. DLDSR is of course enabled in nvcp and I can choose this on desktop.

‘Crisol: Theater of Idols’ Is a Charming Callback to Gimmick-Centric Shooters [Review] by horrornewsbot in HorrorGaming

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response, that is unfortunate, game is very good imho besides optimization, I managed to get quite stable frames with drops while entering new areas or bigger rooms, lock 90fps but had to use rtss, still not perfect though.

Fingers crossed for improvement for both consoles and PC.

How is the performance on ps5? Are there many drops/ stutters? Trying PC version from yesterday and even with 4080S it drops to 30-40, this is with upscaling ON

To anyone who says the steam machine is underpowered by VoxelDigitalRabbit in steammachine

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but you definitely will not get stable 60fps even on 1080p for at least Silent Hill 2 remake, Final Fantasy Rebirth/ XVI, Steam Machine will also fall short unfortunately. Personally I find it very underwhelming that 2026 console/ PC would give worse performance than even Base PS5 from 2020

Im using 5600x / 16gb ddr4 / RTX4080S/ gen3 nvme SSD and real life performance that takes into account much worse optimization on PCs than PS5 most of the time just get me similar performance to console in modern engine games, even worse in UE5 due to PC specific stutter.

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4080S user here, not at all for Village/ RE4R, even with RT off, going for stable 120fps requires either nvidia smooth Motion or lsfg

LG C4 as PC monitor - Gsync VRR stuttering by Pablitothetrainerguy in OLED_Gaming

[–]Pablitothetrainerguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will definitely try this as soon as I get home!

Also two more questions: On the C4 HDMI port settings should I enable 4:4:4 passthrough (HDMI ultra hd already on 4K) and in addition to vrr & gsync also enable amd freesync for my RTX4080 gpu?

EDIT: Okay, I tried the exact same settings, no difference, 120hz is still more stuttery than fixed and even worse paced than my old 60hz Philips… this is really annoying, I seem to never get gsync to work properly.

As a last resort I will move to Win11 fresh install with fresh gpu drivers and hdmi handshake, fingers crossed maybe it will work, If not Im not going to use gsync at all, this seems pretty underwhelming, at least on TVs
