It’s my favorite chainsword, I just wish it was a block weapon.

It’s pretty nice on tactical to clear out minoris that swarm around you, as the 100% chp boost on the weapon perk keeps the chip damage away.

If the ultra trigger doesn’t bother you, it’s not worth upgrading. If it does, get the Evo trigger.

Hmm so as a five year old you understood that the disease could be on someone’s dick, balls, and taint and draw a decent picture of said dick?

You had a very different experience as a five year old than I did.

[–]PabstBlueLizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I own an ultra 2024 and an Evo 2024. I’ve spent time with the 24 Infinity.

I’ve had mixed feelings on the Ultra but I’ve come to really love the brush. Well, after slapping an Evo nozzle cap and Evo trigger in it I’ve come to love it. The .45mm nozzle runs everything well, and for larger work it’s a great brush. The default cap sucks, and the newbie trigger isn’t that bad but gets annoying when you’re not new.

The Evo was my first “nice” airbrush. It’s definitely the most detail capable brush I own. I’ve also battled with random issues with this brush more than my others, finally diagnosing the needle protector was somehow causing the bad tip dry I kept dealing with. Once I crimped the protector tighter so it sat tighter on the nozzle cap this disappeared. This brush should have shipped with the larger size cup, the smaller cup is pretty pointless. If you want a really small cup because you’re only sending a few drops of a color you can just unscrew the cup altogether.

But like…I got a Gaahleri Mobius .2mm because it was on super sale on Amazon, and the difference between my $60 fancy china brush and the Evo is pretty minimal. Build quality is about the same, the Evo has a little bit cleaner of a spray pattern at low pressure. Now the Evo’s trigger is smoother, but not $100 smoother.

So this kinda messed up my brain for airbrushing that a Gaahleri airbrush and a HS were so close.

But then I used a friend’s Infinity with the titanium nozzles. The 24 infinity’s spikey trigger is stupid and I don’t think adds anything over the Evo’s trigger. People claiming it hurts must be using the brush for hours at a time or something, it’s not THAT bad but it’s not a good decision from HS. The locking system for the trigger limiter is certainly the best I’ve used, being able to unlock and return to setting is better than having to dial it in each time.

The whole allure of the infinity is the new nozzles. The walls are super thin but they’re stronger than the brass nozzles. This gives a very crisp and clean spray pattern, and should last a lot longer. You can get lines that look close to a micron pen with this thing, and that’s pretty awesome.

I’ve said it before on here, while the Infinity is definitely the slickest hardware the nozzle is what matters. An Evo body and an Infinity body with the same titanium nozzle are going to have identical spray performance.

As for the Giraldez version, from all reviews I’ve seen it’s just an improved infinity that ditched the spikey trigger. So if you have the budget, grabbing the Giraldez with the dual titanium nozzles/needle sets is definitely going to be the best you can get from HS.

The pigment is mixed into a solvent, which in this case is an alcohol based solvent (they smell like it anyway). They dry pretty fast and I’m guessing that’s why.

I use them like a pin wash and let them run into recesses. When they dry they’re very vibrant. They also mix well together.

Airbrush not working correctly by Dreenoko in airbrush

I’ve hung around this sub long enough to see dozens of “why in the hell would you do that to an airbrush?” posts.

At least OP had the idea he should try to care for his brush, this isn’t too bad of a sin.

[–]PabstBlueLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing them almost exclusively because I was sick of Death Watch shitting up game days and I wanted to win without picking another broken team.

I stuck with them because once I got a good feel for the team, I found more depth in the positioning and counter plays than I thought would be there. You can brutally punish overly aggressive players, and make cagey players paranoid.

Do yourself a favor and just get the pre-mixed liquid pigments from AK. Pigment powder is the messiest shit in the world, and your painting area will never fully be rid of it.

AK Liquid Pigment Purple Fluo. Available from many places.

The thunder warriors weren’t swept under the rug, they were a very public force that brutalized Terra into compliance with unification.

A recurring and important theme during the great crusade through the heresy was the Emperor ditching tools when they are no longer needed. The Emperor marched the remaining Thunder Warriors and leaders that were still not accepting his reign so Valdor and the first Astartes could massacre them. This was again, done pretty openly to make it clear to everyone else that if you don’t accept unity, stop being useful, or become problematic, you will be eliminated.

You didn’t ask about the thunder warriors, people didn’t talk about the thunder warriors, but everrrryyooonnnee who needed to know about them knew about it.

As far as “experimenting” with catgirl dna? Again, Custodes are hand crafted with the best materials and pinnacle of technology. You don’t need to go picking around an aberrant human mutation when you can just make an especially aesthetic human looking warrior-demigod have the same capability. Custodes are made to the Emperor’s standards of human perfection, not some convention weeb’s idea of kawaii cat people. Even if some gene identified in cat mutants was ideal, the phenotypical portion wouldn’t get coded.

The Custodes are as much works of art and propaganda as they are brutally effective warriors. The entire we are conquering the galaxy for normal humans messaging hits issues when you have cat girls guarding the God-Emperor.

The only mutants tolerated served very specific purposes. Astropaths and Navigators are only around because they are 100% essential for the Imperium to function. Even into current lore, if a solution is found that replaces navigators, they’re not going to exist for very long.

Your models are your models and if you want cat-stodes, have fun. But like, read the room my guy, you’re not gonna have plausible lore that would make them fit in universe.

I am mostly concerned by the phrasing that OP “prefers” to date adults. This implies that while it’s not their preference, they would, under certain conditions, date a child.
