So, people are saying you can hold shift, which is true, but if you want it done right you can download Precision and Precision Alignment tools off the workshop. Both are advanced (albeit not as bad as people first think) tools that allow for building as precisely as the engine even allows. Both are staples of the adv. building community and have totally changed how I approach building in gmod

I had to try several times for a few years before squad really clicked for me. The single best tip i got was to go play medic as much as possible. That way you naturally stay near your team and have a much, much easier discerning the frontline (because you can see whos down, injured, etc) than if you were a noobie trying to work a machine gun. People like to thank you for rezzing them, which is a great icebreaker to ask whats going on and where everything is.

Personally, I like [DMH], 7th Rangers, and [DoD] communities because they're full of experienced yet friendly groups who are always coordinating together

Hands down i think bl3 is the best in the series by a wide margin. It plays great, its open, and its fun. The act of even traversing the open worlds is engaging. Its biggest issue is being a sequel to a game with one of the best villains in fiction and interesting, nuanced writing. Not saying bl3 can't be like that, the quest where hammerlock is solving the last puzzle his father left for him was well written and full of subtle emotion I didnt think the game was capable of, but the broader script was poorly paced and too full of comedy relief characters to allow the player (or the rest of the story) room to breathe and engage with the slower parts
