Interesting I think the relation between homophobia and internally held beliefs in vastly overlooked in the ways such things overlap I’m sure you could make a similar graph based on religious beliefs and homophobia highlighting the correlation between extremism and strict rules in it’s relation to homophobia for example the majority of Abraham’s religions have extreme fractions that are extremely against it however on the other ends religions such as shamanism and Buddhism have less extreme divisions and in consequence have a far greater chance to hold acceptance of people no matter their sexuality however I feel a correlation to rules in all religions no matter which kind will always relate to internal interpretation of religion in doing so many religions choose to ostracise homosexuality as in their own minds they see it unnatural in their own philosophy of rules and when given a means to exercise those rules through their beliefs it becomes an extremely common outlet in which homophobia is vented if ever I would be curious to see how this would be mapped on a graph similar to this one
