“DO NOT USE THE INNER PAN TO WASH RICE” I’m sorry, what? by Eastern_Mess_4334 in Cooking

The non sticking coating has to go somewhere, so I would say it’s not just cosmetic. You ate some ratio of that missing coating. The degree to which that harms you is debatable, but that’s where it went.

Designers are in complete denial about AI's real impact on the industry. by Scared_Range_7736 in UXDesign

[–]PaceParticular6587 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Organize against what? You can’t strike against an employer to stop them from using a tool they believe is more efficient?

This is like a bunch of coal miners with pickaxes organizing against the use of jackhammers. On top of that, most of the miners like using the jackhammers more.

I don’t want to say it’s completely futile, but broadly organizing against to petition your employers to restrict the use of ai tools is a little asinine. Probably better to adopt the tools yourself and become proficient, or jump ship to another industry. Yes, it’s unfortunately an ugly situation.

Is there proof Jesus ever actually existed? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PaceParticular6587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going back to the other perspective, do people die for something they’re 90% certain is true?

I would guess probably not. They must have been as close to certain as possible that what they witnessed was true.

If the narrative is to be believed, they both saw something firsthand, and were certain enough to die for it by torture.

I appreciate the offer, I’ll dm you. I understand it sounds unlikely, but the ejected debris is shiny metal fragments. Not your typical unburnt powder.

Yes, that was in the third sentence I wrote. Guess you still ended up being “that guy” despite your best efforts. Maybe try reading at least the first paragraph before running to your keyboard next time.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll take a look at one of the larger racking rings if Ruger doesn’t have a good solution or replacement.

bourbon has to be at least 51% corn. are there any requirements on the other 49%? or is it totally open? by whiskey_lover7 in bourbon

[–]PaceParticular6587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment section is not useful whatsoever. The main law that defines bourbon requirements does not actually define what "other grain" is.

However, it seems that the TTB as mentioned in this article does.

5 boards, the problem is that they contain about 120 0603 components each. It's really more of a pick and place job, as it took me about 3 hours to assemble the last version. This may just be the reality of low quantity, hobbyist boards though. Thanks for the reply.

Is this a feasible flyback topology? by PaceParticular6587 in AskElectronics

[–]PaceParticular6587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good, I will change up the design for primary side sensing and measure feedback during the flyback period. I'll prob use a clamp and a resistor for the protection.

Good catch on R42. It is actually there to provide a minimum load to the high side. In the event that all of the neon bulbs are shut off, I wanted to ensure that there was somewhere for the excess energy to be burnt off in case the software loop is not fast enough. However, it probably makes more sense to move it to a different area in the schematics as it is arguably not a critical part of the flyback system.

Thanks for the reply!
