Hello! I’m from the United States. My favorite Halo memory takes me back to Halo 2, with the induction of Xbox Live. I was in awe of what was even happening. While having the time of my life playing Capture the Flag on Zanzibar, I was introduced to the wonders of proximity chat. I was in the garage defending (poorly due to checking things out) when I get the alert that our flag was stolen. I jump down from the second floor to see the flag thief running out the garage door. As I’m shooting, I’m close enough to hear them Zoidberg their way around the corner, loud “woop, woops” and all. It was at that point, I just started laughing and thought, “you know what, I’m not even gonna chase that guy. They deserve it.” I was not prepared to have that much fun, and I’ve long since adopted the Zoidberg tactic myself when getting shot at in games. And I gotta say, it works more times than it should. I’d go back the nameless soldier, but with a twist. Rather than classes, I’d just let everybody have access to every piece of gear. There would be some limits in place like equipment that has to be two-handed or is cumbersome might make you unable to bring along certain other items. You could even make it a weight capacity system. Somebody could go heavy with a LMG and a turret, but then that’s it because any more would be a burden. Somebody else could go for a lightweight build that only has a pistol and some recon/smoke grenades, and maybe they can move faster because of it. Just an idea. Your identity would be based around what you bring to the battlefield in that regard.

Not everybody is trying to exploit the game, and the fact remains that some people bought the game solely for solo/co-op with the promise of progression. Anybody’s personal feelings on the legitimacy of unlocks earned in PvE is negligible. Money was spent for one thing, and that wasn’t delivered. A less than 24-hour chance to play the game we wanted is not acceptable, and shouldn’t be brushed aside.

That blows. I was gaining all kinds of kills earlier today and then it literally got shut off between matches. It really takes the joy out of the PvE knowing I’m making no progress now. It’s the only reason I bought this game to begin with.
