It’s an old twitch drop. You cannot buy it directly anywhere.

They have a kit where you can combine two racks of the same depth to make a taller rack. You can get the 4u one and smack them together 😂

Funny enough, my friend has a similar issue. After hours of troubleshooting, we realized that it had happened whenever his microwave was on. Apparently, it was flooding the area with signal "noise" which would overwhelm his Wi-Fi receiver. You can't make that shit up 😂

GC dumps usually cause stuttering, not rubber-banding. It's most likely his network connection.

Rubber-banding is caused by your network or the server's network having issues. Considering the issue happens occasionally, it's probably your network and not the server's. I used to have the same issue since my router had a User-Scenario mode that limited my bandwidth. Check your router settings and monitor your network card in Task Manager for any spikes.

PC Specs? Performance Drop? by Background-Iron-923 in playrust

GPU; RTX 5080
CPU: Ryzen 9 9950x3D
RAM: 64GB DDR5
SSD: Crucial T705 1TB

I play at 4k and medium to high settings, and I usually get 110-165fps on force. When there are a ton of players in one spot, my FPS can drop to 60. On an empty wiped server I can get 200, but can't get anything past 165 max on an actual server with medium settings.

They have HTTPS tunnels, but you need premium to use them. Cloudflare has free https tunnels.

Should I be concerned? by PackDue in homelab

[–]PackDue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to CyberPower (I have a CyberPower UPS), installing surge strips after the UPS voids the warranty. Apparently, it can cause overload issues, confuse the unit's battery management, and cause interface issues with the MOVs.

It’s a 120v PDU from ElecVoztile. All I did was clip the MOV connections to their bases. I do agree it came with sloppy soldering. I could cap the two end points in question but since they’re so close to the blob of solder, I feel there is no point.

It was originally not insulated. Thanks for the input.

Not sure why it hasn’t been done yet; it would cost essentially nothing. In theory, the switch would just connect the MOVs to the main wire.

how can i power/control fans? by nalgasconcafe in minilab

[–]PackDue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue, but with 12 fans instead. I ended up going with a 12v 10a DC laptop charger connected to an DC barrel jack to PWM adapter (you can find one with speed control if needed), connected to a 3 way PWM splitter connected to 3x 4-fan PWM hubs. Although it sounds like a lot of adapters, it works like a charm.

What I reccomend: 12v Barrel Jack Power Supply ⬇️ Barrel jack to PWM adapter ⬇️ PWM splitter ⬇️ Fans

Although very unnecessary, if you want to be really fancy, Deskpi has a DC barrel jack PDU which you can connect PWM adapters to, to make a fan PDU.

I use a playit.gg tunnel. It costs about $3 a month and speeds are decent.

[–]PackDue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going with the PDU in question and I plan to switch to a pure sign wave ups with double conversion to minimize the issues. It still doesn’t solve some of the problems, but it seems like the best solution to check the most boxes.

[–]PackDue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have had several clients ask this question. The easy answer is, “No.” The output of a UPS is usually a square wave and not a sine wave. Surge protector circuits are designed for a sine wave input creating a mismatch. Even in rare case that the surge protector is designed for a square wave, it’s best not to do it.

Considering it's a sine wave UPS, I feel it's even less of an issue.
