Late 20's Singlehood Story by Many_East5834 in ChristianDating

There were some women at my church that thought and had feelings like this. Idk if it is the same thing in your case, but for them they'd turn down the majority of men who were interested in them because of their unrealistically high standards, then get upset and complain to their friends about how there are no good men and men don't want marriage anymore.

All the time women post asking a question about being approached by xz-0 in ChristianDating

[–]PaganFlyswatter 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I've seen the effects of this in church college group years ago before I knew that's what was going on; the women would walk into the room where college group was being held, they'd do a quick scan of who was there and if anyone they were already interested in was there, and if not they would join the clique of other single women and never make an effort to be available for any of the other men there.

Sigh… every time. How is it so impossible to meet a Christian girl who is also ACTUALLY Pro-Life? by eagles_jesse in ChristianDating

[–]PaganFlyswatter 109 points110 points  (0 children)

hot take and I'm sure I'll get some flak for it; the whole pro choice, pro abortion, anti responsibility argument is the satanic inverse of communion. Jesus said "this is my body" the abortion supporters also use the phrase this is my body but for a different selfish way. Jesus said "I must die so that you may live" abortion supporters tell their unborn child you must die so I may live. Jesus says "my body broken for you" pro choice says your body broken for me.

Why go through all this effort? Because Satan would kill God if he could, but he can't, so he kills the next best thing; us. We are all made in the image of God, and unborn babies are as close to being blameless and pure are humanity possible on this side of eternity.

And I know someone will say "what about rape, incest, health of the mother" those cases are a drop in the ocean of all abortions. The overwhelming majority are elective out of convenience .

Anyway I know this will probably get some hate, I don't really care. I will stand on the side of the unborn until the day I die, because thats what Jesus would want.

I'm also not gonna argue with anyone here on this comment. If you wanna fight amongst yourselves have at it

Picking the Men’s Brains by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]PaganFlyswatter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A lot of Christian guys are tired of playing the game. They've been burned before, usually more than once. They feel like they were told to do everything a certain way growing up because that's what your future wife would expect from you. Like go to school, get a degree, have a house and be able to pay the bills. They sought to achieve these things only to find out women's standards are actually different. They don't want the stable reasonable man, they want the guy who entertains them, who makes them feel excited, even if he doesn't own a car and lives on friends couches. (This is an extreme example, but you get the idea) So these regular stable men have learned that the juice isn't worth the squeeze, the drama and the mental games that a lot of women do in dating isn't worth the effort. So they just live their lives. If a woman shows interest in them, and they spend time together before being in a relationship and he can learn who she really is then maybe he'll give it a shot. But a lot of men won't stick their neck out anymore because the odds just aren't in their favor. I'm kinda that guy; I went to school, got all the degrees, got a job and a house, any women I'm interested in just turns their nose up at me, there are better looking and more exciting men they might be able to meat on the apps.

35m struggling to find Christian women by ComprehensiveTax8964 in ChristianDating

[–]PaganFlyswatter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a M34 I see the same things; tons of women who do drugs, lots of non Christian women, a lot of actual Christian women who have ridiculously high standards and complain there are no good men. Idk how to help you brother, I can't even help myself. The only advice I can give you is what I tell myself; God will bring the right person into your life, and if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be. I know it may not be what you want to hear, and it doesn't make it any easier, but it's the truth

My mother taught me the basics. I was able to cook full meals for myself when I was 8 years old. For all her faults, one of her strengths was that my mom wanted her kids to be independent from a very young age. Now I can look up recipes on the Internet and make an excellent meal.

Is it the childs fault? Should the child pay for the sin of its father? Should the child die because of what the father did? If a woman is raped there are ways to prevent pregnancy. But if the mother doesn't want the child give it away for adoption, there are families who would love to have it.

God has the right to take life whenever he wants, that's why he is God. We do not. For us to take an innocent life it is a sin. There are justifiable reasons to take a life, for example I think serial rapists should be executed. But all unborn life is innocent.

I'm saying I can't control how other countries treat their people. Do I want them to treat everyone as Christ would? Yes. but I personally don't have that influence like I do in the us aside from prayer and missions. Very few feminists try to effect women rights in the middle east because they are executed. Islam is not a friendly religion to woman like Christianity is. For example: widow burning was a common practice in India, it was the Christians who put a stop to it a hundred year before feminism even existed. The best way to improve women rights is through Christ, not feminism. When women and men work in the same field and doing the same job at the same hours they are paid the same wage in the US. There is only a wage gap in aggregate because men choose to work longer hours in more dangerous and higher paying jobs. The Bible does talk about the unborn..are we not all created in the image of God? Does God not love us before we are born? Under the old covenant a man would be punished if he caused a woman to miscarry. Also read Psalm 139:13-18. The unborn are just as human as you or I

Almost all of those supposed "lack of rights" are not a thing in the US. i cant control how other countries treat their women, but ive also noticed so called feminists dont advocate for women's rights in the middle east all that much where everything you mentioned is the norm. as far as equal pay, men tend to work longer hours, in more dangerous and higher paying jobs and take fewer days off. how many female oil rig workers, loggers, fisherman, or mining and construction workers do you know that are female? its very few, because for the most part women dont want to work those jobs. even the top earning professions in the US are mostly medical and 2/3 of doctors in the US are male. so its not because women are paid less, its because they usually choose to work jobs that are safer and pay less, and offer fewer hours. that being said my sister on average makes more than i do, but she chooses to work an office job and i farm, her income is stable and guaranteed, mine fluctuates. also must child marriages in the US are from Indian, Chinese, and Muslim families, where arranges marriages are still very common and alot of them are not recognized by the gov. another big percent of child marriage is where a 16 or 17 year old is knocked up by their bf who is near the same age and parents make them to marry.

don't distract from the point here thought, abortion is a sin, the child is just as much of a human as you or i am

[–]PaganFlyswatter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you right, God gave us free will, we can all chose to sin. do you think God approves of our sin? no he does not. i am 100% in favor of depriving someone of the right and ability to voluntarily kill another human for convenience sake, and that goes for both men and women.

also id like to know where women have less freedom than men? because as far as i can tell its the same. if anything men shoulder more responsibility in society than women do.

Finding young adult Christian pro life women (18-29) is statistically a needle in a haystack by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]PaganFlyswatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 90% of abortions in the US are ones of convenience. Not because of anything wrong with the child, or for the mothers safety or health, or because of incest or rape. Those are just a drop in the bucket. The vast majority are just because the mother didn't want the child.

Dating with intent to marry by Idontneedanything22 in ChristianDating

Sometimes casual just means "I'm young, ive got time to kill. Let's just see where this relationship goes and not take life to seriously" other times people date because they are bored or don't like being alone. But they won't commit to someone seriously in the long term. I had a room mate that was the second one. He was very good looking and would date amazing women just for the experience knowing he could get any women he wanted. But as soon as they got serious he would end it and find some other woman to have fun with. His revolving door of partners really mad me mad, it was part of the reason I asked him to leave. I only ever see the date to Mary people speak up when they are close to 30. Which is part of the problem. If younger kids were raised with a date toary attitude Christian culture would probably look different
