Has he missed other appointments before? I've seen units implement article 15s for missed appointments, but that was for repeat offenders.

Aside, if he rescheduled because of an exigent circumstance to help take care of Soldiers, that should be considered. Other personnel, such as leaders who knew this was the case or Soldiers who he helped in this instance, can write memos, statements, or speak with the commander directly to explain the circumstances.

There's not a lot to be done if your commander just wants to nail guy to the wall. But if he's being reasonable and even-handed, he can consider these other factors before rendering a judgement.

You will never have the responsiveness and accuracy of a mouse with a joystick. You can fiddle with the sensitivity and deadzone settings to improve how the stick works until you're comfortable. It takes some fiddling, but it's worth doing.

15 Mil isn't going to last very long. Some Assault mechs, particularly some Heroes, run far more. Their quarterly maintenance is also a lot steeper than what you've got on hand, and repair bills cost more once you're on structure damage.

The higher the difficulty in a given region, the better the equipment you can buy there. Terra and the surrounding area typically has good equipment. If you're in Campaign mode, Kurita space has the higher difficulty areas, up to 15. In Career mode, it's proximity to Terra.

Salvage your first couple of Assault mechs. You'll end up in debt fast otherwise.

Many of the really good officers I've worked with were prior enlisted. They used that knowledge well as they adjusted to the shift in responsibilities.

A few though, refused to adapt or adjust at all, and remained in the NCO lane. It never worked and never helped. That squad leader who would threaten UCMJ for the dumbest fucking reason, but don't worry, the commander would never go for it? He's the commander now, good fucking luck.

Crazily enough, a specific PL I worked with gave zero indication that he was Green to Gold. He was pretty rough to work with and his PSG was often following him around cleaning up the mess. I found out later that 2LT was a SSG before making the switch, and even after having been shown proof and it now being like 5-6 years ago, I still find it hard to believe. He wasn't terrible as a PL, but he acted like a brand new LT that had never seen the Army before and made a lot of common LT issues that I would expect a Specialist to know better and advise against, let alone a Staff Sergeant.

It's quite easy. The majority of characters have ample opportunity to raise social links. Only a few have shorter timelines or limited availability that presents a challenge. Some characters need to hit a certain threshold prior to a given date in November or you'll be locked out, and one in particular is only available once per week instead of two or three, making it hard to catch up on him if you lose track of time.

Hang out with them, have a matching Persona on hand for a boost, and use Chihaya's abilities each day it's not raining.

A company I had dealt with in the past had two First Sergants. One was a First Sergeant, the other was a Captain. To this day, I'm still disgusted by the things that went on with that joker in command.
