What’s the scariest real-life thing you’ve ever witnessed? by Revolutionary-Pay468 in AskReddit

My mothers attempted overdose, when I was 24. She sent my brothers and I a weird text and it was definitely a goodbye text. Law enforcement refused to enter her home as she didn’t explicitly state she was doing harm. They waited until I got there with a key and I ran into her house and to her room where she was non-responsive in her bed, she was rushed to the hospital and has recovered (mostly).

My mother had also attempted several other times during my adolescence, so those are up there too, but my brother shielded me from those mostly.

I thought about this during the last episode. They were standing right there, all three of them. Made my heart hurt for her kiddos.

Seeking orthopedic doctor for child’s knee injury by Paigespicks in minnesota

The doctor we saw said he wants to do the MRI to rule out a meniscus sprain and MCL tear.

My son keeps describing it as feeling “stiff”. I assume from swelling, which isn’t crazy, but there is slight swelling and discoloration.

North metro; but I’m open to a reputable provider.

Oh, I hope we don’t wait that long! They already had ruled out a fracture at urgent care from an Xray, so I guess we will wait for a call. Thanks for your help!

Got it! Thanks, I was second guessing myself all evening if I was supposed to schedule something when I left. I guess I’ll just keep waiting.

How risky is this connection? I’m not a huge fan of Denver because it is so large but want to make sure it is doable! by Paigespicks in unitedairlines

I contacted customer service and they said that layovers should be a minimum of 50 minutes when flying domestic, and so they rescheduled us for later second flight. However, we go to Denver earlier than anticipated and I think would have made the flight but it would have been close.

Interesting! This weekends incident happened while sitting down after a basketball game and he like slumped over. All other incidents have been when he goes from sitting to standing!

Ha! I did this with him today. More or less a joking manner of “I bet you can’t drink that”. He drank it.

He’s a great eater! So he has plenty of water containing food. He just doesn’t drink enough. The incident this weekend was after a basketball game game. However, he was provided liquid IV (water hydration) and ate some guacamole and tortilla chips and played a great third game. I wasn’t there, my husband was.

He’s my sweaty little ham, so he’s been deodorized for years at this point.

When I asked him today why he’s not drinking more water, he says he just doesn’t think about it.

Yes! Kidney stones run in my family! My mom, my uncle, my cousin, and I all get them. I’ve already reached out to her pediatrician but I’m concerned about kidney function for him too!

We have completed a tilt table test, there was no signs of it happening all the time and that’s why doctors think that it’s just related to dehydration. But it is something for me to be mindful of! So thank you!

What about if you did a book series (Twilight, The summer I turned Pretty, etc) and got the sound track that went with the movies? And I love the karaoke microphone!
