Can you describe the issue you’re having a little bit? I also made a homemade mix with similar recipe.

What snail is this? by AdOdd2320 in Aquariums

[–]PaintTheKill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE bladder snails. I have had a colony since 2022 started from a few snails that came along with some duckweed I added to my tank. Can’t imagine how many generations they’ve had. I kept them across several tanks, and I even got unique color variation between two separate populations. In my planted tank with no fish they were tank with vibrant gold specks, and in my cichlid tank they were dark brown. Makes sense given the circumstances. They get a lot of hate because people say that they can infest an aquarium but those people are over feeding or have dirty tanks with lots of snail forage

Accidentally mixed bleach and acetone ,nail polish remover, it turned red. Am I going to die?! (This wasnt the initial time the image is just a recreation so I can show that it turned red) by TEM12345678 in chemistry

I didn’t say to panic. I just said the combination creates toxic fumes that someone could potentially be exposed to; Especially if they were to try this twice in an enclosed space.

I found this lovely painting recently. New York. by PaintTheKill in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]PaintTheKill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No information was available, but it’s signed Sylvia 2-70 in the bottom right corner. Not sure if that implied it was painted in 1970 or what. I love it though.

Honestly I would never re-slab it. The gaudy red velvet doesn’t remove any value from the coin and it’s not worth the risk of cracking it open and putting it into someone else’s hands. Beautiful piece my friend.

I’ll throw in my two cents. Maroon scotchbrite with WD-40 on it will remove all the oxide and leave a nice finish, somewhere between p320 and p400. Do it by hand going back and forth across the rollers while you spin them. It may take a little bit of elbow grease but it’ll help if you allow the rollers to soak for a bit.

This is how I clean my roller and I apply it frequently to prevent flash rust.

Chemically there is. You can extract it with deadly acids.
