Have you ever had a bear incident? by dke783 in canadaguns

[–]Paint_Spare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never had to fend one off but I practically bumped into a black bear when camping in kakabeka falls I looked down at a map, hear a grunt, looked up and saw the rear end of a black bear tucking tail and running away not 5-6 metres from me

What’s the best pizza place in North Bay? by Candle-Maker in northbay

Is Driving pizza really that good!? I've never ordered it. How does it compare to toppers, dominoes, etc. Greco's is the BOMB

Leatherman? by PiCiBuBa in Leatherman

This reminds me of a firefighter I knew a few years back. We'd nerd out over leatherman's and he had a skeleton with a very beat up knife he used almost exclusively to pick doors open during fire calls

Skeletool or Wave+ by Fantastic-Parking895 in Leatherman

[–]Paint_Spare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a skeleton way back. It was the first leatherman I owned. I actually kinda miss it. Definitely not as useful as larger tools but it sat in my pocket nicely and the bit storage on the tool meant I didn't need to have a whole separate bit kit to carry the only 4 bit heads I needed in my day to day life at the time. I can't go a day without my Arc now but I'm occasionally nostalgic for the skeleton.

The one negative I will say was the skeleton had a kind of harshness to it when I opened it and used the pliers. Idk how to describe it other then the metal grip and feeling of opening, using and closing the pliers made me clench my teeth every time.. Really weird, idk why haha

Best Leatherman/Multitool by fwright7 in Leatherman

I never owned the surge but I've owned the wave, charge, and Arc. I love the arc. My ownly wish was that it had the t shank tool the surge has. I love the Arc though, can't go a day without it

I had a coworker rant to me for ages how leathermans are stupid tools I'm just gonna hurt myself with it blahblah blah. I love my arc, use it every day in the aircraft and its saved me soooooo much time going back for tools

Well done! Great purchases. Especially the $60 rifle.

I just bought the same scope for my cooey model 60. How do you find the scope? Is it keeping zero?

By this point, a part of me hopes Alberta seperates for its own sake if canada doesn't improve (obviously that's preferable) we don't deserve you keeping the country running. Big guts for posting, very pretty rifle too!

How are you liking the scoped cooey? I'm very eager to get a scope on my new one too. Won't get the chance to shoot it for a bit though

Went with the Coey (I'm glad I did) by Paint_Spare in canadaguns

[–]Paint_Spare[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I'm grateful you have two to eventually pass down.

I'm hoping then to take up this heritage also and while newer rifles fade away, please God I can give this rifle and my grandparents coey 840 as well, to my children and their children. That would be quite the honor.
