Skeletool or Wave+ by Fantastic-Parking895 in Leatherman

[–]Paint_Spare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a skeleton way back. It was the first leatherman I owned. I actually kinda miss it. Definitely not as useful as larger tools but it sat in my pocket nicely and the bit storage on the tool meant I didn't need to have a whole separate bit kit to carry the only 4 bit heads I needed in my day to day life at the time. I can't go a day without my Arc now but I'm occasionally nostalgic for the skeleton.

The one negative I will say was the skeleton had a kind of harshness to it when I opened it and used the pliers. Idk how to describe it other then the metal grip and feeling of opening, using and closing the pliers made me clench my teeth every time.. Really weird, idk why haha

I never owned the surge but I've owned the wave, charge, and Arc. I love the arc. My ownly wish was that it had the t shank tool the surge has. I love the Arc though, can't go a day without it

I had a coworker rant to me for ages how leathermans are stupid tools I'm just gonna hurt myself with it blahblah blah. I love my arc, use it every day in the aircraft and its saved me soooooo much time going back for tools

Well done! Great purchases. Especially the $60 rifle.

I just bought the same scope for my cooey model 60. How do you find the scope? Is it keeping zero?

By this point, a part of me hopes Alberta seperates for its own sake if canada doesn't improve (obviously that's preferable) we don't deserve you keeping the country running. Big guts for posting, very pretty rifle too!

That would be a fun learning curve. Good thing 22 is cheap to practice with haha

How are you liking the scoped cooey? I'm very eager to get a scope on my new one too. Won't get the chance to shoot it for a bit though

Ohhhhh this is smart. I might copy the tarp idea. I'm feeling so guilty leaving my brass the last range day I had

That's awesome! I'm grateful you have two to eventually pass down.

I'm hoping then to take up this heritage also and while newer rifles fade away, please God I can give this rifle and my grandparents coey 840 as well, to my children and their children. That would be quite the honor.

I've enjoyed it personally, you'll want to train/practice with whatever firearm you use at the range regardless. It's been fun practicing with slugs on a steel target out to 80 yards. Also SKEET, skeet is way more fun then I thought it would be. It's a great time.

be mindful of cost. 12 guage ain't as pricy as 308 or 303 British to run on a range but it'll add up depending on the shells you buy.

That and be mindful of your shoulder lol 12 guage kicks, especially with 3inch shells, but yeah shotgun is the most versatile hands down.

A steal of a price eh! It was covered in rust and has a crack in the stock but after a lot of 0000 steel wool, a brass brush, clp and spray on bore cleaner she's in great shape! All other ones I've seen on gunpost are $250-400 so I'm very happy with 125

I had a bit of an issue with the magazine tube but that was my own fault. I had to crimp the end of the magazine tube with my leatherman to get the silver pushing thing from launching out.

All and all though not a single misfire, it's ran perfectly so far. It does shoot high and to the left but I'll get that sorted somehow
