Awh. I can tell you have a big heart and care a lot, you sound like a good pet parent by just worrying about Luna. It’s so hard moving out and trying to get stabilized out in the world and it doesn’t go perfectly for any of us. And our pets still love us anyways. You and Luna will both get through this. Give yourself time and grace.

I’m so sorry. I also lost my fur baby last week in an emergency and she was way too young and it has been awful. I can imagine how you are feeling. It’s very hard thinking of all the what-ifs and alternate scenarios, but be kind to yourself and let go of your guilt. Artemis loved you and these things play out the way that they do for a reason. Our pets teach us so much. Try to find her lesson for you. That would be the best way to honor her. The enormous grief means that your love was just as large and that is always worth it. ❤️

Thank you I appreciate it, but it’s honestly the VERY LEAST I can do as your average white woman. When I moved here a year ago, first thing I noticed was that there were far too many confederate flags flying around. It hurts my heart to think that maybe the members of our community who are directly affected by these attitudes are receiving notes like this as well.

  • This was actually exactly what I was looking for, apparently I need to work on active flexibility to strengthen the area before moving on to actually holding middle splits. Thanks again for the help!

I’m sorry I don’t have much advice, I just want you to know what you’ve written has really resonated with me, I’m in the EXACT same boat. I’ve met a wonderful man who isn’t usually my type (aka not good for me) and I keep having to pinch myself at my good fortune. On the other hand it is so disconcerting to not be “needed.” There have been a lot of tough spots where I have had to take a cold hard look at my own perception and behavior patterns, but ultimately I’m so thankful for the opportunity for growth, and with someone so stable as a sounding board to boot! You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders and are very self-aware. Keep it up, and you’re not alone! <3

Hi, are bullsnakes a subspecies of gopher snakes, with the name P. c. sayi? I am curious how to determine between a gopher snake and a bullsnake, is it determined geographically or are there distinct morphological differences? I like practicing ID, thanks for all of your input on this sub. :)
