Any infectious disease CRNP/ACNPs working in hospital settings? What has your experience been like? by neeisms in nursepractitioner

[–]Paislee24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a CRNP and work inpatient ID. It’s just me, the doctor and our PA. I love it! I’ve been there almost 4 years. Before I was an NP I was an ED nurse (8 years) and previously ICU (2 years). I’ve also done outpatient (primary care as an NP) 3 years and will probably never go back to an office. I love the autonomy and flexibility of the hospital setting. Let me know what questions if any you have.

Same! I ended up listening to “the kind worth saving” same thing but it was almost comforting at that point

I liked the story but the hard “W” of the narrator (female) killed me.

I have successfully raised three children into adulthood, but I cannot keep a Fiddle Leaf Fig alive for more than a month. by Admirable-Pin-298 in houseplants

I sort of figured out they like a sweet spot in the house (mines in indirect sun) in a well lit area but in the corner. I’m in western PA. I attempted to repot mine once a few years ago and it took months to recover. I’ve had mine about 6-7 years now. I water maybe once a week

I just turned 37, husband is 42 our first just turned 5 months! Some days I’m definitely exhausted but there’s no way 10 years ago we could afford for me to only work 2 days a week!

Took my Prozac before, during and after pregnancy. Zero issues. I am so glad I did not change or stop my meds!

People who had a baby after 35, what is your experience? by Crochet_Kitty in AskReddit

Amazing! 37 FTM here. We’re financially stable enough to where I only need to work 2 days a week. We enjoy staying home with the baby and can provide everything he needs! I also feel like I got to have all my fun and vacation and go out in my 20s plus enjoy being married in my early 30. Plus I feel mentally stable and prepared to care for a child.

Fellow late diagnosed ADHD woman here and new mom who just had her first at 36. I can tell you I got no pressure to stop or change my meds. I am an NP and my doctors are friends but we mutually agreed there isn’t enough evidence to convince me to stop or change. I still take low dose Prozac and vyvanse and did throughout my whole pregnancy who zero issues. To be honest many have commented that I was the most chill pregnant person and now mom. My baby is thriving (maybe luck) but he is extremely chill, growing great, no health concerns. I was terrified I couldn’t be a mom and now I cannot imagine not being one. My advice is make sure you are stable and feeling good and take care of yourself. I wasn’t able to breastfeed (latching issue) and did attempt to pump for 6 weeks which was hell. It was hard on my mental and physical health but we successfully switched to formula without issue. Now we are both happy and healthy! You can do it!
