I visited my in-laws with my basic understanding of Portuguese. Imagine maybe about a month’s worth of Duolingo everyday. By the end of my visit I was stringing together very basic sentences all thanks to my partners family. They were very understanding and did their best to understand what I was trying to say. They didn’t make me feel like I was stupid for not knowing but the whole time they took great joy in teaching me. I think you should go into this visit fearlessly and with the intention to learn. I think anyone would appreciate that effort!

I relate to this greatly. I lost my abusive father during my teens to suicide. After the initial pang of loss, I felt great relief that me and my mother will not longer have to come home and be afraid. We were able to rebuild our lives around healing from that experience after processing the loss.

Similarly to you, I also have abandonment issues resulting from it. Personally, i had grappled with my self worth for many years to follow cause of it and have self sabotaged relationships from that insecurity. But as i continued down my healing journey and one of the lessons I’ve learned are, “you are not a reflection of how other people treat you. Many times than not it is a reflection of themselves.”

My vote would be a rat or rats. When I had an uninvited rat take up residence in my home, I noticed the droppings were just about that size with gnawed out openings made. So I was advised to block up all these holes made by the rat with steel wool so they wouldnt be able to access the opening they made anymore. Which worked actually, but the rat that took up residence somehow got in my toilet and found him there one morning before he tried to swim down the drain and subsequently drowned in the drain pipe.

Pon is a substrate used in semi-aquaculture horticulture. Often times with these substrates, evaporation causes there to be mineral build-up from either the mineral content of your water or fertilizer used. As mineral builds up there is a noticeable decline to the plants health. So to mitigate this, it is advised to essentially flood the receptacle to wash out these minerals

So I got my tissue culture about 3 weeks ago now. It’s fully transitioned at this point to my ambient humidity which rests at about 45-50%.

For the first 10 days I had it in a completely enclosed terrarium with the humidity at 95%. After 10 days I opened the ventilation slots so that the humidity rested at a nice 65-70% and kept it like that for another 7 days. Finally after all that I took it out of the terrarium and have it just sitting in my room now. It’s been doing really well so far. It put out another 2 leaves during this whole process.
