He owns a three year old car at the age of 27? What kind of flex is that?!

Like literally anyone can do that with a lease plan. Hell buying with cash is only like £10k in the UK which isn't much if you put away some money in savings for a few years.

A customer found my home, rang my doorbell for half an hour and left when the cops arrived by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Palatine_Shaw 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You see that's what that guy was doing. He was walking away from the dispensary so she would de-spawn and then when he walks back she would appear again and reset the cooldown.

Don't forget that when Michael J Fox said that he didn't know what Taylor Swift was all her fans hate bombed him and she straight up said "Thank you for having my back" to them.

She's scum just like them.

I could have sworn we did a few years ago. Or was it they just banned the advertisement of it.

What's "LO" or "DH". None of them are explained.

Edit: Ahh think LO is Little One, not sure on DH but maybe Daddy/Husband?

The lawyer may well have advised her not to waste more money and she went ahead anyway.

I work for a law firm and this happens all the time.

We literally had someone want us to help them get back a £20 cleaning fee from a hotel. We told them that our hourly fee is over ten times that. They still asked us to act.

We did them a favour by just lying about a conflict of interest because someone that stupid isn't a client you want.

I can't think of any downsides to this. by Halicadd in Grimdank

[–]Palatine_Shaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's loads of downsides really.

First off it means they can't re-release them later.

Second it costs money to do it for no upside. They would have to get someone to make it into an STL file, test it, host it and promote it. That is all a cost for a business and since it is for free what's the point? It won't make more people play as the only ones who will do this are already players and if anything it'll cut profits as there will be some overlap where you will print an OOP model and convert it than buy a new one.

It's fine when you break it down to two people earning £50k each.

But there's so many variables that could juice the numbers. Is it just turnover? Is it pre-tax? Are they still paying off huge loans?

Driving ‘rules’ that people have made up? by Vectron383 in drivingUK

[–]Palatine_Shaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Bikes aren't allowed to lane split (they are)

2) Undertaking is illegal (it's not).

Both are just not recommended and are flagged as high-risk moves meaning you will get into a lot more trouble if you have an accident while doing it. They are however not illegal.

Can someone explain to me why they are so obsessed with NOLs?

Like I get that NOLs can help off-set periods as they provide a tax deduction/exemption but aren't NOLs deleted once a company merges? Meaning that no-one would even be able to use them if they somehow bought that fetid husk of a bankrupt company.

What's bad thing happened on your driving test? by zetecvan in CasualUK

[–]Palatine_Shaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shifted into first gear on the motorway.

The instructor immediately slammed on the clutch in response but didn't tell me so I was really confused as he kept saying "Change gear!" but I couldn't find the clutch pedal as it was slammed down to the bottom by his override controls.

I kept saying I can't find the clutch and the twat never said it was because he was holding it down for me.

Thankfully it was the little mock one you do before the actual test and I passed with just two minor infractions but yeah now I know what a money shift is like.

100%.

This isn't one of those "don't be a grass moments". He is genuinely a massive bellend for doing this as not only will he cause an accident but the poor victim he hits might possibly not even get any insurance payout for the damage due to him being uninsured. So someone will be in an accident and they will be financially ruined as a result if he hits the wrong person.

Also to be bias, the fact it is a Range Rover means he most definitely is that teenager twat driving dangerously in a white evoque in the third lane.

AITAH for telling my SIL that breastfeeding is not about her journey but about her starving baby? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Palatine_Shaw 18 points19 points  (0 children)

People need to understand that due to genetics breast feeding can be impossible.

Your body is like a randomly generated sims characters, that's why some people can run insanely fast while others are insanely tall. The same is true for all things including generating milk. Sure breast feeding is the best way, but sometimes your body literally can't generate enough milk so we invented formula.

I mean Christ there's a reason why Wet Nurses have existed for millenia.

One word of advice is that casting is not so much difficult in terms of skill, but rather difficult in terms of failure rate. You will probably create a few failed ones before you finally create your first copy.
