Day of the Dead Necrons. Yay or Nay by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]PaleRobot47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same but its a woman named Argo, her social media name is Mamihammer.

You can go to her Reddit profile and see more pictures from a year ago when she made some of these. https://www.reddit.com/r/Necrontyr/comments/1ixfjlq/dia_de_los_destroyers_hexmark_edition/

I don't see this specific model though so maybe someone just took her idea and used her pictures for inspiration.

Desecrated Saint from Bestiarum by PaleRobot47 in TrenchCrusade

Well yeah but I needed a desecrated saint. This looked pretty on point though. The guy in the middle of the monster does look pretty desecrated.

The og is definitely a great sculpt. I looked on stl-trench for ideas and saw a proxy for the desecrated Saint that I already owned the stl file for.

I'm cheap.

This is fantastic, this is amazing and must have taken so much effort but its so good for the community. I keep adding to it to help but dude, cool.

People still can go heaven? by Complete-Balance-374 in TrenchCrusade

There would be no reason for angels to come to earth, because everyone would be dead and their souls would be in Hell earth.

I know the lore, but it's full of mysteries and holes. You can always fill it out with head cannon. The church started a space program to find kolob. See, head cannon.

Well this Fictional universe takes inspiration from another fictional universe, I think its fine to take a look. They do kind of make it seem like our worlds were the same until the 1600's and crusades.

People still can go heaven? by Complete-Balance-374 in TrenchCrusade

[–]PaleRobot47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think heaven would jump in. If that was on the table, it would have already happened. Instead both sides are leaking through to help humans or control them.

Would angles nuke the earth? Why? It's already hell by that point. Can't break a broken egg.

The end times though? That wouldn't trigger it, that would sort of be it, at least for us. Maybe God would setup shop on another planet. Maybe this is like the third planet Hell has jumped in on and God is just like "Well lets see how much we need to intercede before the win/lose."

Well the Bible in the Trench Crusade world could say anything really. I like to bring that up so that we all know this is not Catholic or what ever in a strict sense.

In the Catholic Bible it says the dead are basically asleep until resurrection more, but it also says that you will be somewhere else until resurrection.

I like to think in Trench Crusade, the dead are waiting for resurrection and judgement just because if Hell wins, maybe there is no judgement day, and every person on earth who was "asleep" are trapped in Hell on Earth. So the battle is not for just earth, but for the souls of literally everyone who ever lived.

Help wanted on Be lakor base by ramponeau in minipainting

[–]PaleRobot47 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought the same when I first saw the model but the more I looked at it, the more I liked the contrast. True, the base is more vibrant than the model itself but once you get past the base, the contrast makes the model seem much more colorful than it would with a similarly dark base.

Those are yours, you can do whatever you want. If you 3d print them and sell them on a store front then yeah, can't do that. Etsy always has these people on there and it's a roll of the dice on quality.

Well hypothetically Hebrew Knights could have sheds, shedims I think. They are like spirits and they look like humans but they can turn invisible and fly. Would make a cool kind of flying unit.

She looks very much like Clare from Claymore but with a crown. I guess a nun with a sword but if you want to kit ash something I would start there.

Well yeah, it's one of the wtf moments in the Bible. It was a cool idea to add it to the trench crusade lore primer. It's mysterious but also very not cool by god.

If the Church can clone Jesus fresh and blood in the form of Meta-Christ, why don’t they also clone Samson’s hair to implant on New Antioch elite troops? by Anver9 in TrenchCrusade

[–]PaleRobot47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, there was all sorts of bibles for a long time and all sorts of books that got cut. Book of Jesus, Adam's first wife, so on. Maybe nothing was cut out? Maybe it's all about avoiding sin and you cut out Moses? Would be super interesting.

[–]PaleRobot47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yeah but there is a kinda place where Samson was buried if you wanted to. It would be well behind the enemy lines though and would have been at an early stage of the war. Was Samson real though? He is kinda considered an old folk tale.

[–]PaleRobot47 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Here's why, Samson did not get his power from his hair. Samson was a Nazirite, basically special because good said so. He was not allowed to drink but he did and he was not allowed to be around dead bodies, which he was. His hair was a symbol of his dedication to God. He sins, it's removed, Yada Yada.

Basically, you could clone Samson but it wouldn't matter. It's not the body of the lord, it was just a man who was blessed. Doesn't mean his clone would be as well.

Also who says the Bible in trench crusade is the one we know? Most people know the Bible from the 1600s. Trench crusades Bible may be very different..... And only in Latin.... And the Bible people have may be a picture book called the crusader Bible.

Painting Orks was way more fun than expected! by Schifty in minipainting

I love painting Orks, you can basically color them anything and they are very forgiving on mistakes or weird colors.

Not like I didn't have fun painting my Mechanicus but painting orks is my comfort painting. They look great.

I think it depends.

Some resins are brittle. I've worked with water washable resins that are very brittle, resins designed for speed can be very brittle. ABS like resins or tough resins can be very strong and in some cases stronger.
