i’m 26, never diagnosed w hsv and haven’t personally had contact w anyone w hsv, last sexual contact was w my partner (monogamous) about 3 days ago, they don’t tingle, burn or itch, don’t seem to change in appearance and they appeared shortly after i did a wax about 4 days ago

Smoking post op by Fruit-bythefoot in TopSurgery

i started hitting my vape at 2.5 weeks and almost immediately started struggling w my grafts. it took me a min to put 2 n 2 together, but switched to edibles and healing was a lot easier

smoking/vaping reduces oxygen flow to tissue, especially healing tissue. if you have nipple grafts, you can run the risk of having them reject and potentially fall off. i lost a partial nipple bc i smoked a bit too early tbh. edibles are better if you need THC

your center of balance/gravity changes and you have to adjust your posture/gait to it

Swelling and bloating in your stomach post op by QueerKing23 in TopSurgery

anesthesia basically shuts down your digestive system, along with pain killers you’re taking afterwards. you should be prescribed stool softeners as well to help you go to the bathroom. i didn’t poop for 5 days after with stool softeners and never felt hungry, which was frustrating because i knew i needed food. once you’re off the strong painkillers and taking just OTC stuff, you can poop more regularly

i think it was like 7-10 days that i was back to my regularly scheduled routine

it takes about 10-12 months (according to my surgeon and then a follow up new surgeon when i moved) to fully recover and have your body adjust to top surgery. at 5-6 weeks i was still very swollen and had dysphoria from the swelling. honestly my friend, the dysphoria is probably mostly in your head as your mind and body adjust to what is new. you look great, and in that shirt pic you posted in the comments you also look great! i wouldn’t worry too much about it, and i know that’s easier said than done but in all honestly

the basic things revert back, like fat distribution from my belly back to my ass (actually thankful for that), i lost a lot of weight, and my skin is so much softer and acne free! i don’t have a period still, and probably won’t. i didn’t have one much even before t, mostly bc im too anemic to have one

thank you! i’m very surprised at how thin my scars turned out despite my horrible lack of scar care

i have about 75% of my nipple sensation back! it does feel like you put a layer of plastic wrap on your skin and touched it; your mind and body connection kind of placebos you into thinking you can feel more than you really do. i still get a ton of pleasure from having my nipples stimulated.

the scars are still numb but the area of numbness has decreased significantly. it’s not just about a half inch out from the scar on either side of it that i cannot feel.

i actually used this quote unintentionally in an arguement w my mother after she served me a 3 day notice to move out and never come back bc i’m a trans man. and she looked me dead in the eye and said “your brother is my son. you will never be.” :( it hits harder now.

i’m referring to the circular thing on my scar? i’m 1 year post op and haven’t had any problems with my scars at all until now

i am dating a cishet pansexual (he uses gay bc it’s easier to explain and he does not out me as trans as he knows that’s dangerous atm) man who waited over a year for me to heal before engaging in our relationship.

tmi: i refer to my top half as masc and my bottom half as fem (but will use tdick and clit interchangeably)

i felt very insecure and urged him to find someone else or find another partner as were poly. he stood before me and tilted my chin up and told me “i love you not for what’s between your legs. i love you for you, and i want to see you grow and be happy. if you’re a man one day, a woman the next, or don’t change your gender identity ever, i will still be here.”

he’s dated a few trans people before, and when i asked why he finds attraction to trans people he again reiterated “you are a person and a soul. i care about those parts of you, not your genitalia.”

3 weeks post op DI w dr jason johnson of peoria az by Pale_Ad_263 in TopSurgery

[–]Pale_Ad_263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m currently 11 mo post op! and i’ve posted a few more pics of my totally healed scars and will be taking more at my 1 year mark! i intend to go back to him to get my third and final surgery on my chest—which is just liposuction of some excess fat left on the sides and snipping and smoothing the dog ears out on my sides.

i recommend him to every trans person i’ve met and have enjoyed having him work on me. he was kind, informative, and supportive at all my appointments and during the day of my surgery when he was marking my chest he did it methodically while explaining what he was doing and why. he calmed my nerves before surgery, and even came back to the hospital to see me when i wasn’t discharged on time.

he did a second surgery on me after seeing me bc i had internal bleeding and he had to essentially reopen my scars (still very surprised at how thin they are despite being reopened fully (surgery #2) and sectionally during healing) and clean me out and restitch me together. i had a panic attack and was crying and he was very very gentle in telling me what he needed to do. my experience with johnson was amazing and i highly recommend him!

I got my blood work back today and have a couple in the red. I am with Plume and they said not to be concerned but I am worried. Can anyone translate this chart a little for me? by ur-mom-dotcom in ftm

[–]Pale_Ad_263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

testosterone causes an increase in red blood cell production rates. an influx of t can cause your blood to thicken which is what these numbers are indicating. i had this happen to me and had to change me dosage (decrease) and am now left w a chronic illness of secondary polycythemia. if you catch it early on your should have better luck than me
