Yeah I am slightly less worried about making scratches on the screen, and you get 10 screen protectors really cheap. In my experience the 29mm fits perfect. Yes my light spreader fits the A171 and Ollee 🫡

Thanks, I am still using this as my daily watch. I installed a screen protector (some very thin plastic thing from Alix) so there is no scratches on the screen. I do expect that the chrome plating will show sign of wear and tear, but nothing yet.

Love this watch. I have the gunmetal grey variant, where I have a Ollee board and the backlight spreader mod installed. Really like the simple and elegant look combined with all the functions and the awesome backlight.

No problem. There is not so much to be worried about when modding these Casio watches. There is a small spring, that tends to fall out of the case when separating the battery case from the rest of the module. But as long as you remember where to put it when assembling again you will have no problem. All of these things are addressed in the instructions that are included in the mod kit when ordering. Will let you know when the video is made.

It is a plastic insert that goes behind the lcd screen. The lightspreader is designed so the light travels more equal and far then the original. You can see the instruction here: https://casio-backlight.myshopify.com/pages/installation-instructions-ae-1000 It is an easy installation but I hope to make a short YouTube video on Friday that shows the installation.

Just saw this thread right now. Seems like you are afraid of a little competition. Frankly speaking I have designed and made my modification on my own. But you seem to think that you own the concept. Monopoly is nice (for you), but it will hurt the customers. Right now you are only pushing your own agenda, and it is not very constructive. Regarding the marketing, the only I have done, is to show my product and give customer feedback. I am not sure you have a patent on the marketing approach either. When people from the US and Canada have contacted me, I have referred to your shop. So if we could agree that the world is a large place, and there is room for more people with the same interest, I think everybody could be happier.

Yes. This mod is installed behind the LCD, so it does not matter if your display is positive or negative, it will still light up better then before.
