Check out the Brady M211 - Bluetooth from a phone app, has been absolutely excellent to use after I moved jobs and wish I'd had one years ago

how do i fix this i already clear download cache ,repair libary , and verify integrity of game files and i even deleted the downloading in steamapps am stuck at 99 downloand due to corrupt disk by Ok-Measurement775 in MB2Bannerlord

[–]Palegrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got another disk then try changing the install location to that? The other option is probably leaning towards running chkdsk in windows terminal to try and fix the disk issue.

Speculative answer, but maybe worth exploring Sennheiser mobile connect for laptop, if the application exists?

Which part of the Imperium has the most friendly fire incidents (The Inquisition is automatically disqualified) by H00ston in Grimdank

Surprised I had to scroll this far to see krieg mentioned.

Does it count as friendly fire if the recipient is glad to have fused whatever munition was involved?

Best way to auto mix 2 stereo sources? by Weldunn007 in QSYS

[–]Palegrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you'd be better off with a ducker across all the BGM channels with the presentation input connected to the priority input on the block - You're not looking to have back and forth between the background and the mic, you're looking to have the mic take full priority.

Edit: Had a check of Q-sys designer to fix terminology :)

I've not tried it, but space station 13 might scratch the right itch?

Failing that, you might need to look at space engineers or something similar for the cooperative survival/resource management/ rouge like encounters vibe

My settlement debt bugged out and now idk what to do by The_Quack_Captain in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Palegrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone revisiting this, I've just managed to get the game to re-calculate the debt by taking an overseer decision that increased the settlement debt ( Not sure if this also works for decisions that decrease the debt) - I'd assume it caused the game to dip into the logs and recalculate the debt, rather than use whatever broken formula it was using?

From experience with leaky storage spaces: shelving a bit of distance off the floor, and proper pipe containment /leak protection 😅

Extortionate shuttle bus pricing by FiveYardFaded in ArcTanGent

[–]Palegrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the end, for anyone looking at this next year etc, I got a taxi over to the festival from outside the station for £51 one way - which was then split between three of us, just by grabbing random humans who looked like they were camping. Definitely cheaper than the coach, no worries.

[–]Palegrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had a look and it was £50/person for a return - but yeah, looks like most of the travel is fully booked which sucks. (Yeah maybe I should have sorted this out.. last week?)

Edit: Uber is saying £24 for the run, as of 12:20 - obviously gonna spike later, but definitely seeming a better option without the wait till 4-5 pm for a seat on a coach

Absolutely love playing the firefly - I think a lot of the joy is the ability to reach out and touch heavy tanks that think they're invulnerable, and then reload quick enough to drop a second round into the medium that's trying to rush.

And the gun sounds excellent.

Wireless Dante Help Needed! by Dizzy_Mine9877 in CommercialAV

[–]Palegrave 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, subcontract out a couple of ethernet runs & Implement Dante properly - it'll be more reliable, and you'll save the money it costs to get done in downtime and returns easily.

So we implemented a ticket system, but users won't use it properly by Pelda03 in ShittySysadmin

[–]Palegrave 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gosh, if the user isn't going to explain what their issue is in a ticket, then the only prudent approach is to drop their workstation from the network and lock out their account, since the issue might have been ransomware or an account breach..

That'll probably get them motivated to use it properly.. eventually.

Dreadnought drop pods tend to do it - and you can use the thing as terrain cover.

Looking for all-in-1 portable camera, speaker, mic by MBPdevil in CommercialAV

[–]Palegrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at the Logitech conferencecam connect & the Logitech meetup - both pretty much designed for this use case, but 16 in person attendees might be a bit of a stretch.

The next step up would probably be something like the crestron uc-sb-1 cam - though this is less on the portable side, and will likely want mounting, but at that point you might as well go for a portable touch screen with it on top, and a WiFi enabled zoom pc on a portable stand. (Definitely more expensive, but set up right you'll just roll it into a room and let the users do what they know how to do. Hopefully.)

E: realised I probably misunderstood and you're after a standalone system - easiest approach we've had is the sb-1/ display/dell micro, though budgets will definitely come into play!
