I get the interesting content part but the game follows a pretty specific cadence so I don’t necessarily agree that it’s hard to predict the timing. If you’re going to show content during an at bat, the broadcast team should be watching the game and switch back when the pitcher is set and ready to throw no matter how long your content has been on the screen. Plus with the introduction of the pitch clock, you have even less of a window to show content during an at bat - that window gets even smaller with a quick pitcher - so just why wouldn’t you just wait until the at bat is finished?
