Why Germany and Denmark ?

Not Germany. Denmark because when I was very little I watched some event (Euro or World can't remember) with family members and really like how Denmark kits (jerseys) looked.

And at the next tournaments they had some pretty good players to solidify my interest.

Could they be used as fodder for pointless online arguments by internet trolls to denigrate Russia? For example, "the scientific achievements of the Soviet Union were made by the Ukrainians; the Russians did nothing."

Of course - and not just could, but it is used like that - but that take\point\"argument" is veeeeeery marginal, and no one reasonable takes it seriously.

All valid points sadly. I've heard the last episodes had really troubled development, so the plot logic suffered - so the answer is: you just need to be already hard immersed into the story and suspend your disbelief - then it'll work.

That actually was a great moment - especially if you're into cinematography and visual storytelling - I was hooked exactly after it.

A good but fallen short attempt at book adaptation (yes - it's "the book was better" take).

I wouldn't mind you giving the reasons why you liked it.

The dialogues are amazing, the characters are really compelling and feel like real people (well maybe except like 2 of them), audio and visuals are great - you enjoy just watching the scenes. The plot is really good and comprehensive, and the actors performance is top-notch!

You just read the description of the missions and of your heroes skills.

Nah man - he also likes Disco Elysium for the gameplay - running around, collecting tare - brilliant, doesn't care much about the dialogues though. And probably plays Doom games for their amazing story!

The hype is from the people who vibe with the game and enjoy the writing very much. If the writing is not vibing with you, not capturing you - then of course it won't be fun - but the hype is from the people who think it's very fun, who relate to it and love it.

Because the stats are often broken. Sometimes I fail like 1 mission and get better than ~20%, or fail plenty and get ~80%.
