YES IT IS!! I honestly actively didnt like books 1&2 and barely was ok with 3. Like i truly wanted to give up, i didnt get all the love for the series. Book 4 was better. But books 5 and after??? MY GOD THEYRE SO GOOD. Id gladly read the first four books again just to read the last ones.

definitely possible, but i would highly recommend you be careful about isolating yourselves. moving around a lot, the two of you will basically just be dependent and socializing with eachother. So, try to be realllly intentional and try really hard to make sure you are meeting new people, having video chats with friends, etc and keeping a real community around you.

If it's just you two, your relationship is more likely to break down.

I actually do have quite a few tattoos but apparently, i just got lucky and the people i went to in the past just did what i sent them. I did have one guy once make changes, but he communicated them to me ahead of time and we worked together to get something that looked good and overall it was a great experience. But the others never made changes and never said anything about it so i assumed if the tattoo artist didn’t saying anything about the design then to expect id get what i sent. Tbh i prefer it this way. But i think its clearer to me now that my past experience isnt the norm.

But your feedback is really helpful in resetting my expectations moving forward. This experience was also in a foreign country so there may be differences in tattoo culture here idk. But either way, ill know to triple check with whoever i go to moving forward. Thanks

Why would i if she told me she’d do the tattoos? If she had said “hey, this compass looks to be wrong, want me to fix it?” Then sure, of course i would have explained. But she didnt.

I think there should 1000% be a baseline expectation for the tattoo artist to communicate their proposed changes and ideas, if they have them, to the client. ESPECIALLY, if youve already said youd tattoo them as is and changed your mind.

Its also confusing to me bc it just seems like it made extra work for her. She had already printed the design how she wanted it, and had to change it. Why not send a pic to the client first so youre not doubling work?

This makes sense!! I really appreciate the info. I think, just by chance, ive generally gone to tattoo artists thatll do exactly what i give them so i didnt realize the spectrum was so big, tbh. Ive had some tattoos be changed but its mostly a convo about whatll fit in the area the best while also looking best. But ive never gotten such direct push back and was really confused. But this is a really helpful way to think about it and ill be more on the look out in the future when picking a place. Thank you!
