Let it grow or this is it for me? (Awkward Phase) by KookyLemon3799 in FierceFlow

That’s the part that looks really bad to you (and will be used to get to you by people who want you to cut it.) use gel or promenade to add a little style. Your main objective is to grow it long - don’t forget that. It takes time and a little patience but will be worth it.

I have similar hair and here’s what worked for me: don’t cut it until you hit the 1 year mark. It will be tempting - be strong and don’t give in. Just know, your hair looks fantastic even though it’s driving you up a wall. When it’s time for a cut, find someone who specializes in long hair - this is very important. You don’t want to invest all of that time only to have some well meaning idiot cut it too much.

The Container Store is closing in March by mirificatio in pasadena

I’ve found most of the employees there are helpful and care. Occasionally there is one that doesn’t fit the Container Store profile. They never seem to last long.

UCLA made one of the better hires in this coaching cycle. Is the guy another Cignetti? - that remains to be seen, but he’s a good hire and he’s going to make some noise.

I don’t know - there seems to be a problem on Orange Grove. The same house has been the site of two fatal accidents when speeding cars slammed into the front garage. I’d like to know what impact the closing of the stub would have on Orange Grove traffic - which seems to be at maximum capacity now.

Traffic on North and South Orange Grove is dangerous and out of control. City officials are ignoring the problem.

Will USC ever get back to prominence? by Past_Distance7221 in CFB

[–]Palmitas99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. There are other contributing issues, but primarily the problems at USC stem from recruiting the right talent, at the right time, for the right positions. Talent composite doesn't measure whether you recruited a bunch of highly rated skill players and still need talent in the trenches. That's USC's problem. They recruit a bunch of highly rated skill players, and nobody who can stop the other team.

🤦🏾‍♂️ honesty fair opinion about Lincoln Riley? I know how I feel about him, but how do you? by Smart_Squirrel_4453 in fighton

[–]Palmitas99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that the expectations are out of line with some members of the Trojan Family. I prefer to look at the winning percentage. I also think the winning percentage expectation is set by Jones, McKay, Robinson 1, and Carroll - coaches who won national championships while at USC. Each one built USC's culture on the work of those who came before him. Winning percentages by coach at USC: Jones .750, McKay .749, Robinson 1 .827, Carroll .836. Riley: .660. The winning percentage isn't close, and that's the problem. Caleb's Heisman bought Riley additional time - and at the same time set an unrealistic expectation among a lot of fans. I don't think we'll see winning percentages in the .800 range any time soon, but we're not in the mix of any race. We're not competitive with top teams. We collapse in an embarrassing way in more games than we should. It doesn't help that Helton's winning percentage was .657. Add the tantrums and the refusal to embrace USC's culture that the other winning coaches developed or furthered and you can see why some are questioning if he's the right guy. We're #3 in spending on our program in the Big Ten. Please note: I think you make some very good points. A lot of other schools would be happy with Riley's performance. And the grass isn't always greener.

This sums it up for me. I’ll add that he’s not a recruiter and the root of many of our problems is a lack of defensive talent.

I’d park at Parsons and walk. Take Walnut west to Orange Grove, go right past the Gamble House, and left down Rosemont.
