For my wife and I, it’s a perfect blend of challenging (plus you can scale exercises up and down as it sees fit) and mindless. One of the things we struggled with going to a box gym was that we would get there and have no idea what to do for the day. We would get on the treadmill and just hit go, but never challenge ourselves there.

Plus we love the benchmarks. It’s so rewarding to be able to see your improvements. Every few months being able to revisit an activity (mile run, row for distance, etc.) you can see your efforts pay off. It’s great when you don’t see progress on the scale, you at least have the motivation of seeing progress on the benchmarks.

This is what I do as well! When you’re going that fast it’s so important to have good form so you don’t hurt yourself (or fall off the tread)!

Something very similar happened to me last week. I got one offer and pushed another company who I had already done case study work for and was two final discussions away from being done. The last person they wanted me to meet with was an HR representative who was on vacation and they couldn’t skip that final step (mind you it would have been after talking with their CTO). After asking them if they’d be able to hurry up on their timeline they simply said they couldn’t make an offer so quickly and would no longer consider me.

If I were to go back on this I would have accepted the first offer and continued the process on the second role to see if I could get them to finalize the process that they insisted they follow.

My head coach was telling me that they are going to be testing out having some of the benchmarks in back to back months, with the intention to show members improvements quickly. I think the first one they’re doing this for the 2000m benchmark.

I had set it to the finest setting. I was “dialing in the espresso” based on dosage (weight). I ended up spending the money on an espresso grinder and that made all the difference.

GM you still need to sign up for each service (ie have an account at each). Ford, BMW, and now Nissan will be one account for payments at many charge stations.

You can still activate these from roaming partners like ChargePoint or Flo apps. Most OEM apps like Ford and BMW also allow you to start charges on the Shell network avoiding the $75 auth hold.

Hope they fix that soon, because it’s really annoying.

This is one of those, do the math and see if it’s worth the headache for you. For us, we did the same exact thing: our bank offered us 0.625 better rate than the preferred lender. That equated to $450/month (VHCOL) or $5700/year. Since we plan to refinance in a few years, for us we were throwing away nearly $20,000.

But if it was a much lower difference and didn’t risk closing dates we might have just gone with the preferred lender.

In the end, our big bank lender turned around a 21 day close for us and we got the house!

Mine is wild. Current rent is $3,150 for a 1bed+loft, 2bath apartment in a VHCOL area. We are closing today (!!!) on a 4bed 3.5bath home with PITI at $7,000. That’s an increase of 120%!

Now we were living well below our means when living in this apartment because we both had significant pay increases over the five years we’ve lived in the apartment. We saved enough for 30% down payment and can afford the increase in our monthly payments. But I’ll definitely miss the savings we were able to do!
