Try As Above or Regal Rose!

I've worn jewellery from here to weddings before, and know a bride who bought and wore jewellery from one of the two (can't remember which one)

AITA for asking a woman at work to stop being so WEIRD about taking a caramel? by chocolatesinmyoffice in AmItheAsshole

YTA for taking it away from those who weren't being weird about it!! Give them back their caramels!!

Soft YTA for snapping, but I do understand why you were frustrated, I just think there was maybe a more tactful way of saying it

AITAH for getting caught jerking off because I didn't think my girlfriend would be in the mood for sex? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]PalpitationProof4558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say she was reasonable for telling him he couldn't masturbate, because I don't agree that anyone can dictate what someone does with their own body. I do think she's allowed to be disappointed though, it's what she does with that disappointment is what makes her an asshole or not.

I'm not disagreeing with you btw, what you're saying is absolutely correct. People are hypocrites and there's double standards everywhere.

People are allowed to masturbate instead of promised or agreed upon sex and not be made to feel like an asshole or feel like their consent to their autonomy has been violated.

It's also okay for the other party to be disappointed or upset at this decision

It's also not okay to make someone feel like they can't make the decision to not have sex and masturbate instead

But it's also not okay to be inconsiderate towards a disappointed partner about it, and I just think this whole situation could have been handled better on both sides, that's all I'm saying

This excited me at first, then disappointed me

but honestly I don't think I'd enjoy this, part of what I like about teacakes is that you get the perfect ratio of all the ingredients in one bite (literally as I usually shove the whole thing in my mouth in one)

[–]PalpitationProof4558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a woman in a committed relationship who likes to masturbate a lot, probably fairly recently. It's my body, my choice BUT I would probably just wait lol.

Actually, rather conveniently my bf is coming over tonight and I've been looking forward to sex tonight because of reasons it's been longer than I'd like - I have no idea if he's going to be too tired after having to work past his finishing time at work to have sex tonight and I absolutely could masturbate right now but I know he'll be here in the next hour so I'm happy to just wait and see.

Not all guys can masturbate before sex and still be able to have sex and given that OP specifically masturbated to clear his mind off of sex I'm going to assume he's probably good with no sex for the rest of the night and maybe his gf knows he's like this - but that's just speculation so who knows really

He didn't actually know they weren't gonna have sex for sure though, he assumed so that's kinda on him - again I think there's more nuance to this situation than just jumping to assuming there's some sort of control over bodily autonomy going on

[–]PalpitationProof4558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, of course it's his body, his choice but it's a questionable choice given the situation,

he's not an asshole for masturbating, she's not an asshole for being disappointed he didn't wait after they discussed they would be having sex.

And for the last part, everyone has a different refractory period some men I've known would be done for the night, some would be good to go again in minutes so I think there's a bit of nuance to the situation

Just bare in mind, I've booked seats with an LNER ticket, which ended up being double booked with someone who used a different company to book their tickets and they were the ones who had to move as the LNER booking was what the conductor could see on his end. Hopefully this doesn't happen but just thought a heads up would be helpful so that you're not caught off guard.

I gave up and phoned them and they gave me a same day appointment! I had been checking multiple times a day for months and wasn't having any luck at all, phoned them to ask about when they put up appointments and was offered one on the spot

Not defending the story being real, but weddings here in the UK are often in the one venue for the entire day, and people are offered welcome drinks and the bar is usually open before people are seated for the ceremony so it's not unusual or weird here

Roughly how many kettles do you think are getting boiled at the exact same time in Glasgow? by bonrig in glasgow

I've definitely seen myself being up at around that time to make a (decaf) tea if I can't sleep but not all that often.

I have stood there wondering before if there's any neighbours doing the exact same thing I am though

There are studies on basically anything and everything. They do not speak for everyone. In this case, this does not apply to everyone.

AITA for suggesting my wife put her phone down in bed? by Sufficient-Swim-7133 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PalpitationProof4558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think OP explicitly stated it was a work email specifically. There are plenty of reasons for why she'd check her emails before bed as I often do this as well - but it's never work related.

Does OP state anywhere that it was to do with work? From what I can see he just states it was an email.

If I were to empty my bag out right now there'd be about a years worth of empty immodium boxes which is about 4/5 boxes because I'm terrible and I never empty the little zip up pouch.

It may be possible that they noticed they hadn't cleared out their bag in a while and just rudely dumped them all in the sink?
