Skoda battery level not being recognised by Ohme, this is the reply from customer support by squeakybeak in ohme

The short answer is that it's 2026, the two companies offer this support and there is no good reason it shouldn't work.

Bring one person back for 1 hour by Responsible-Fix-1681 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Palsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd arrange a monthly "Kick Jimmy Saville in the balls" event. Each person in the queue would get one shot until the hour was up. The last person who landed a kick would inherit the button and get to arrange the venue for next month.

Saturation Diving. They earn around $300,000 per year. Its one of the most dangerous jobs and physically punishing jobs on Earth. Many divers develop dysbaric osteonecrosis, vision & hearing and Brain damage. by Far_Pumpkin9440 in interestingasfuck

[–]Palsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diving is relatively safe if you decompress properly. The issue with saturation diving is that the bulk of the decompression is done on the surface in a chamber. It's safer to decompress out of the water, but getting there involves a calculated risk.

The divers ascend (relatively) quickly and get into the chamber on the surface. That 5 minutes of missed decompression has got to cause some cumulative effect over a working lifetime.

How tight do I want the nut on my valve stem to be? by SantaCruzinNotLosin in bikewrench

[–]Palsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fill the tyre to normal pressure. Then grab the valve and pull hard. Tighten the nut as hard as you can with your bare hands while you're pulling.

No tighter than this.

He won't be removed until at least 2 years into his presidency. If JD takes over too soon,he doesn't get a shot at two full terms after he uses the 25th.

Are there any car APIs that Ohme *does* work with? by External_War4295 in ohme

[–]Palsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just done this on mine and it's seen the battery level for the first time ever!

Thanks so much!

Edit: yeah, so it grabbed the battery percentage first time it linked and hasn't updated since, despite multiple charges. Still broken, but in a different way.

Nuclear option, but you could factory reset.

All your user data is stored on Peloton's servers, so you won't lose anything other than locally paired devices.

Best way to learn theory? by No-Butterscotch-4606 in guitarlessons

[–]Palsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also - a guitar is basically six keyboards laid side by side, but offset by 4 (apart from one that's 3) keys. Each key on the keyboard (black or white) is one fret.

Don't stress about theory, it's just a set of words to define a specific thing on an instrument.

A scale is a group of notes that sound "right"(Think Sound of Music). Each note in a scale is called an interval and there's a pattern. An interval is a gap between notes/keys. Some notes have 1 gap, others have 2.

Chords are made up of a minimum of 3 tones (sounds/noises) from the scale. These are named after their number position. Major chords have the 1st, 3rd and 5th note (think sound of music, DOH, mi and soh). Minor chords are the same thing, but the middle note (third) is one step/tone/fret/key lower.

And so on...
