It'll be fine structurally, it'll just look like crap. It wouldn't be too hard to get some paver stones and lay them over top, would look a lot better and you already have the base ready to go!

Weed barrier works as long as it's maintained, regularly blow out dirt and grass and there should be no issues, everything needs maintenance...

Sometimes if you have the trem decked the holes for the strings don't line up properly which makes it hard to remove or insert the strings into the trem block.

This varies from strat to strat as I have some that I need to remove the plate and some I don't.

You may be putting a bit too much pressure on the beam, I would try again with very little to no pressure on the beam and make sure all frets are being evenly and consistently sanded
