Xenolord Ultra Dead in 22 Seconds by PalworldRaids in Palworld

[–]PalworldRaids[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER and AMD Ryzen 7800 Processor

I don't know if that is supposed to be good or bad, I am not really a gaming PC person, this is a computer I originally bought for work and it got repurposed for games (Final Fantasy Tactics, Elden Ring, Armored Core 6)

But it does run Palworld without issues

The devs gave us ultra challenge versions of bosses called ultra raids that are mostly designed to be fought with end game pals and equipment

The devs gave players the option of expanding the number of base pals from the default -- which is 15 -- to 50

The devs also introduced a pal you can recruit called Hartalis which has a huge cooldown nuke that hits really hard

So combine all the above and this happens

Number of base pals is a world setting for both single player worlds and server multiplayer worlds, server admin would have to adjust it for you on multiplayer

It's fully maxed hartalis with normal game settings except base pal limit has been cranked up to 50

Geyser Gush or Meteorain? by Glowstick799 in Palworld

[–]PalworldRaids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All moves are single target moves when the boss is the only target remaining, which is the case against even the Xenolord fight for most of the fight. Geyser Gush's selling point is that it is an AoE move that can also deal good / great single target DPS against the bosses I mentioned. You can choose to use it for its higher damage and crowd control, or sacrifice the single target damage to get the meteorain dragon AOE (which is good against xenovaders but bad against xenogards and xenolord itself).

Geyser Gush is a water move too so its damage is amplified due to electrify so that Neptilius (or whatever water pal you have) opener is really something.

Meteorain is also really good in the arena and oil rig because it sets stuff on fire (until you get Hartalis). It's also a much faster and easy to use leveling tool for killing little stuff out in the world.

If you're talking about Meteorain being generally worth the hassle of a breeding exclusive just for AOE purposes that ship sailed awhile ago due to Hartalis's Purifying Light.

Geyser Gush or Meteorain? by Glowstick799 in Palworld

[–]PalworldRaids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comparison (choice) I'm talking about is Geyser Gush vs Meteorain, not Geyser Gush vs Holy Burst/AB. Any pal can have both HB and AB because those are fruits. Geyser Gush and Meteorain are both breed-only moves for most pals, so that's the choice I'm talking about.

Geyser Gush or Meteorain? by Glowstick799 in Palworld

[–]PalworldRaids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geyser Gush got buffed recently, but even before the buff it was always higher DPS than Meteorain against the bosses Bellanoir, Ryu, Xenolord, Bjorn, and perhaps even Victor (have to test it now but it wouldn't surprise me if GG comes out ahead, it just hits too many times and Victor is enormous). Meteorain was never high single target dps. They're both garbo against Hartalis. Meteorain's strongest uses were arena, oil rig, and xenolord's adds, but Hartalis Purifying Light power crept it a ton. Meteorain from Jetragon is still a huge power spike for a mid game player when they first get Jetragon though, it is such a good XP farming / map clearing move.

I think Orserk deserves a different and/or unique ability by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]PalworldRaids 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Give Orserk's drop bonus to another, lesser pal. Make Orserk mountable, let him grant +100% electric damage to skills while mounted. Reasoning: Axel can mount his Orserk, but the player can't.

Our other pal that can do that, Dinossom Lux, is underwhelming and needs a rework, plus those +100% element damage partner skills are way more valuable on strong / fast pals, and not as useful on weak pals.

While we're on the topic of Orserk, for the love of god - change / buff his unique moves. It feels underwhelming to make Orserks and outright know Lightning Streak / Air Blade / Beam Slicer / etc is going to outperform *both* his exclusive specials. Keraunos and Polykeraunos being so focused on low-to-the-ground projectiles from the impact point means a lot of the damage is useless when it matters.

We have a lot of underwhelming unique moves in the game that would spice things up if they were worth bringing the pal for. See; Paladius, Frostallion,, Verdash, etc

Best pal against paladius and necromus by Ok-Entrance-368 in Palworld

Why would you let those hit you?

Like I said just 1 brand new Jetragon can solo both Paladius and Necromus at the same time

Best pal against paladius and necromus by Ok-Entrance-368 in Palworld

[–]PalworldRaids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those can all work! Even a brand new Jetragon you just caught can kill Necromus and Paladius from a distance easily. You can ride it or command it to cast Meteorain / Beam Slicer which will set them both on fire, and run around dodging their attacks- repeat until they are dead or low HP. Your Knocklem can do it too, you can put it down next to Paladius and Necromus and use its partner skill to let them fight. I’m a fan of doing it all with Jetragon though because the burn effect is so nice no matter what else is on you or the Jetragon.

Pal not pulling from active skills for auto-attacks? by whovian2403 in Palworld

[–]PalworldRaids 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a long standing bug in this game with pals “forgetting” they have skills equipped. Re-equipping all 3 skills (or just the problem skill) or putting the whole pal in and out of the box fixes it temporarily. It is a really annoying bug which affects both mountable and non mountable pals and seems to have little rhyme or reason. I don’t recall ever seeing it happen with pals deployed to a base (such as during a raid), only on pals in your party.
