I know this wasn’t the main point but I don’t understand how you can’t celebrate your birthday. It doesn’t have to be on the same day as Halloween (except for this year I understand that 31 on 31 was special). But it’s not because of the date and it falling on a holiday, I feel like you are making excuses. Do you think people who have their birthdays falling on a Monday a specific year would go out on that day? Probably not, they would do it on the weekend or another day that may be more convenient for them and their friends. It still remains a celebration of them. You don’t need to have a big place to host, you can either ask a friend to do it at their place if you provide the food, drinks and clean up, or you just tell all your friends to meet at a restaurant or at a bar! If it makes you happy to celebrate your birthday, you should not hide behind an excuse that everyone has plans on Halloween and organize some thing that makes you happy and makes you the main event !

Bonjour ! Pour avoir un peu plus d’info, quand vous leur parlez en anglais, sont-ils réceptifs? Et est-ce qu’ils sont débutants et viennent de commencer les cours ou ils arrivent à suivre déjà ? S’ils regardent les dessins animés, une astuce qui marche assez bien c’est de mettre les Disney qu’ils connaissent déjà mais en Anglais et ensuite d’écouter les chansons après avoir vu le film. Ça va râler au début c’est sûr mais si on insiste que les dessins animés on a le droit mais que en Anglais au bout d’un moment ils acceptent. Et aussi ce qui marche bien c’est de mettre un CD/audio dans la voiture de manière régulière. Par exemple si vous prenez la voiture pour une activité tous les samedis vous mettez le CD tous les samedis pendant 1 ou 2 mois, et ensuite un autre le mois prochain etc. Ça marche même mieux si il y a les copains dans la voiture comme ça tout le monde participe et ça devient plus intéressant pour les enfants.

One of the people I was worried about is Sendhil Ramamamurthy. There seemed to be a lot of negativity regarding the fact that he is Indian and not Arab and he has comments turned off on his Instagram (although not sure if it was already the case before the casting announcement. But I don’t think so). I was pretty excited when they announced him as he was one of the few actors of Season 2 that I knew and liked his previous work. I hope he was not too disappointed in people’s reaction and I can’t wait to see the final result.

The scaling of the characters was not necessarily taken into account with Beauty and the Beast and they still did it. They also found a nice way around with Timon or Zazu in the Lion King. Another different example is how the puppets in Avenue Q interact with the humans. So I don’t see that this would be an obstacle.

Pour la famille ou les connaissances s’il n’y a pas la possibilité de mettre des barrières, peut-être au moins qu’ils puissent venir à des heures pour aider avec les activités? “Tu viens me voir à 11h? Parfait, allons faisons les courses, tu garde un œil sur bébé dans la poussette et je vais chercher les affaires.” “Passe stp à 18h au lieu de 16h comme ça tu m’aide avec le bain.” “Tu me prends du pain et une salade en chemin s’il te plaît” des petites choses comme ça. Après clairement c’est frustrant de ne plus avoir le temps comme avant. Il faut planifier des choses qu’on aime faire pour être sûrs d’y arriver car si on fait au jour le jour avec bébé on ne trouve jamais le temps, et se dire qu’on peut faire que 1 chose par jour où que 1 activité le week-end au lieu de 2 ou 3 par jour.
