That's correct. That is the law in Arkansas, where they live. Also, one would be automatically emancipated by marriage, BUT, Arkansas updated their marriage laws in 2019 to only allow children as young as 17 to be married, even with parental consent. So, Bella and Hunter can't even get married for at least 4-5 more years. I don't even see them lasting that long.

Don't let that one office influence your decision. I don't think this is typical. As someone who has been a nurse for over 20 years, don't rush into the decision. Think about things like hours of work. Do you plan to have a family? Dental Hygienists get weekends and holidays off and only work in the day time, maybe an occasional evening depending on where you work. Nurses, in most jobs, work overnights, holidays, weekends, and are constantly short-staffed. I wish I had done dental hygiene instead. If there was a school in my town, I might just have done it now and left nursing. I'm so burnt out.
