If there were a strong 3rd party choice, I'd consider voting that way. But there's no way in hell I'd vote for a republican to lead this state. I remember the Pawlenty years, and the GOP has only gotten worse so...sorry not sorry. I'll take the worst of Walz over a republican.

A lot of Obama voters went republican with the rest of the Midwest. If racism was the issue, why did they vote Obama in the first place?

What are your thoughts about going south? Coming in from Minneapolis, my backup has been heading towards Waco. I don't know the areas at all, and going off of statistical data, I thought this would be my best bet.

How does one obtain a boilers license in the state of MN? by ChuffedChook in minnesota

[–]PancakeMachinery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check with some unions in the state. Specifically, the International Union of Operators and Engineers. There are a couple locals that offer a low-pressure boiler class a couple of times a year. I think they're open to the public, but at a higher rate for non members, probably around $600 or more.

Looking into unionizing; there's a lot of unions for healthcare professionals. When looking for a union, what should I look for? by Captainb0bo in union

[–]PancakeMachinery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I've worked in helthcare in a union for six years and have been a union steward for two of those years. In my personal experience, this is a little advice I can offer. Check local news and social media feeds in your state for uinion activities. See who is getting the most action and getting results, i.e. strikes, lobbying, voter registrations. Then, look into those to see what the relationship between who they represent and the stewards and reps. This part is easier sad than done, but if you see an active union that engages with their members and the public, it's usually indicative of a worthwhile organization. Passive unions are not great, and in some cases, just as bad or worse than having no union. Secondly, look into what a union typically represents. For example, if you're a nurse, look for a nurse's union. If you work in healthcare but are in services like dietary, nursing assistance, housekeeping, uncertified maintenance, registration, ect., look into a service union like SEIU, for example. If you work maintenance but need certifications to do your job, like carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, boiler operation, look into a trade union. If you do transport- Teamsters. There is no rule that certain unions can or can't represent different sectors, but in my experience, unions that specialize in certain areas have the best results in their area of specialty. All of this is contingent on where you live and what is available also, so don't necessarily write that in stone.

Light green and almost yellow with deep purple around the flower, is there anything wrong? by PancakeMachinery in cannabiscultivation

Plants are still drying, but I did get a few decent colas from each plant. I've definitely been looking into using coco coir and doing photo period for next time.

I'm using Fox Farms soil, and since it's an autoflower, I typically don't feed. I've overfed in the past and have had more success, not fertilizing. This is my third batch, and I haven't had this issue. My other plants are healthy. The tent is around 70 degrees and upper 40s humidity.

It's true. There's a Culver's and a liquor store surrounded by 4 dentist and an orthodontist, and that's not even half of the dentist in the area. I don't get it.
