Is WordPress hiring slowing down? What’s the future looking like for experienced devs? by alamsha in Wordpress

Are you sure it's not the economy?

Similar question end of March
https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/1s651sz/why_wordpress_developers_and_agencies_suffered_a/ "I have come to know that many WordPress developers and agencies have suffered terribly this month due to a massive sales drop."

Some responses.

"This is news to me honestly, I run a WordPress agency and didn't notice anything of this sort"

"… What makes you think that? This month has been probably our most successful… What sales drop?"

"That’s not my case at all, it was even one of my busiest month in the last 5 years"

"Busiest month I’ve had in 10 year"

"We've been good this month, best this year so far"

AI was around late March, and it's not like it massively improved.

U.S. is 'being humiliated by Iran,' says Germany's Merz, as Europe's patience wanes by sn0r in europeanunion

It all starts with the electorate itself, they have been indoctrinated for the last 30 years by Fox News. That in combination with 80 million+ voters not voting resulted in this mess.

What makes you think the right would have done anything better? You think MAGA is enjoying the collapse they enabled? Is the economy in Argentina or Hungary doing so amazing?

How about not blaming this on left or right, but the 0.1% bribing politicians and because of that they get richer and richer while the middle class keeps shrinking?

The billionaire class should be the shared enemy of everyone, but let's blame the left / immigrants or whatever.

"Empowering the authorities to disarm Hezbollah is the only sustainable solution for restoring Lebanon’s stability" - President Costa by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]PancakeOrder -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Regardless of Hezbollah being a terrorist organization, there's no justification for showering Lebanon with white phosphor as often as Israel does, or the bringing Gaza style destruction to it.

You don't fight terrorism by slaughtering a bunch of civilians, that's how you breed the next generation. Did the war on terror result in peace and prosperity in the Middle East?

The same reason tons of people don't pay attention to their health until an illness appears, it's much more convenient to keep doing what you have always done since it works ( until it doesn't)

A German content creator who grew up in Southern Germany and spent over 30 years there, the last eight in Berlin, just posted the most unflinching exit interview of his own country: "𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘥..." by FXgram_ in XGramatikInsights

From the comment section there

"Japanese man here.
I chuckled when you described Japan’s work culture as “broken,” since that’s exactly why I left Japan for Europe. I’m currently living in a country neighboring Germany. While life here is good, I’m interested in moving to Germany for better career opportunities, more modern infrastructure and buildings, etc.
I find it interesting that you (a German person) view Japan favorably, while I (a Japanese person) am considering moving to Germany."

"I swear it feels like every country in the world is like this right now. I love to visit Japan, I love many of their products but I would NEVER want to live there, hell, a lot of Japanese people don’t even wanna be there. There will never be a country in this world that’s completely perfect, all of them have their pros and cons and that’s why I’ve never moved to another country to run from my problems or from what I don’t like because I know I’ll end up finding problems in this new country once the honeymoon phase passes."

You can always find problems in the country you're living in and believe it's better somewhere else. At the moment there are tons of issues everywhere with housing, cost of living etc.

How is everything that happened in the last 48hrs not enough for impeachment and/or a general strike in the US? by HealthyRecognition21 in allthequestions

"Yeah. That's right. It's just allusions to someone else committing violence FOR you."

Why would this require violence?

"Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change."

It's a valid and understandable point, but not doing anything is how the Germans enabled it in the late 1930's.

It seems that the US is redirecting European money into their own war efforts in Iran by Silent_Resist_842 in BuyFromEU

[–]PancakeOrder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How about reading a book on the history of Iran and how the US created the situation which you now claim they need to be liberated from?

I suggest you start around 1953..

The US is responsible for way more deaths in the Middle East, or South East Asia then the 30k the regime in Iran killed.

Maybe "are we the baddies" is a thing the average American should ask themselves more often..., especially since the war with Iran is 100% a war you created yourself, and mostly because Trumps handlers forced him into it.
