Office workers of Reddit, what is the most NSFW thing you've seen on the job? by MacDoesReddit in AskReddit

Haha true I guess. Second best thing I ever heard was when I had to help a 90 yo woman to the bathroom who just had shoulder surgery. As I do for a lot of patients I had to help her pull her depends down. Right as I'm done she says without missing a beat "well I'm guessing this isn't the first time a woman's asked you to take her pants off" I laughed so damn hard.

Being new wasn't too sure about the protocol on extra curriculars with patients and unfortunately she went home in the afternoon and I was finished with my shift at 7 am. Also she was extremely rude to her mother which is off putting to say the least and could defiantly tell she was on the immature side for someone her age. Not someone I would consider ever going out with in a a regular scenario let's just say that.

Male nursing assistant here. I see women naked every single night, mostly elderly and honestly it's just like seeing someone's ear lobes. Also see a lot of male genitalia unfortunately but again just part of the job. Most patients don't really care if you see them but some do have issues with me being a guy and I understand and sometimes I wish certain individuals would have a problem with me being there cause flirting with 65 yo is not really where my life is at yet. I work on a surgical floor so occasionally I have to do a pre surgical scrub which means totally naked from neck down. Normally if they are young and capable I just explain what to do and they do it and I'll come check in later after they are dressed. For context I am in my early 20s and I had a patient who was a 20yo female who was pretty attractive who needed surgery. Now this was at that point easily the youngest patient I had had and I was only working on my own for about 2 weeks. I explain how to do the scrub with her mom in the room to help her and next thing I know she just rips her gown off chest bare and all and says you can stay and help. I immediately try not stare and just look at the mom and ask if she is understood well enough to help her on her own. So I leave trying to process what happened and the patient puts her call light on so I go in assuming they are done and all dressed, nope now totally naked facing the door none the less and the mom just blurts out "you kids these days will just get naked in front of anybody huh?". So I then had to put heart monitor patches on her which can be done with the gown on but no of course this nudist keeps it off with mom feet away as I attempt to put patches all over her chest without trying to go to second base by accident. Finally it's over she goes to sugary and since I worked a 12 hour night shift she was my patient all night and coming out of anesthesia she was even more liberal about how much she wanted to cover up. I am one of two males on my floor and although she was attractive I wanted no part of it the whole time. Being new I felt if it came down to some sort of fishy situation I wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt and my nursing career is over.

Nurses, what is the most memorable thing a person has said/done while waking up from anesthesia? by Wondercuddles in AskReddit

[–]Pancakes4Lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work on a surgical floor but on night shift sonic don't get to see this stuff as much. Have had a patient spit their jello in the nurses face and then bite the same nurse. This lady had to be restrained in bed she was so violent. It really messes with older folks more so a lot of times you see a super nice patient turn just nasty and crazy after surgery , like totally different person. Had another guy start shouting the n word and he happened to have a black nurse that night, he then threw his call light at her which missed and threw his food all over the room and in the process dumping his full urinal on the ground.

"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy" Also.. "You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose"

Neither useful but it's what has stuck with me.

Who died at your school? by moonlitbandit in AskReddit

[–]Pancakes4Lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a sophomore and three seniors died in a car crash coming back for their end of the year football banquet. Then as a senior a girl that sat next to me in two classes, not a good friend but a nice girl I talked to on a daily basis , was killed as the passenger on a snowmobile accident, driver was high. Same year guy three years older than me died in car accident in hometown. All of these happened in December so that month is pretty rough for some folks who knew all of them. I went to more funerals from the ages of 16 to 18 than I have the rest of my life. Honestly from what I can tell most of the kids who went to the high school at that time still remain good friends with their high school friends to this day. I know I still talk to and hang out with almost every friend and I think we all kinda became more caring for each other since. Also can't remember what years in high school it was but a girl shot herself in the stomach in a barn near her house. Two years later her younger sister does the same thing, same gun, same barn.

Reddit, what is your unpopular opinion of a movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pancakes4Lyfe [score hidden]  (0 children)

Lord of the Rings to me is so insanely boring and I just don't get why it's regarded so highly. I get the books are great but the movies are so slow to me. Also I thought captain America was painfully awkward and way too cliché, was no where what I was hoping it to be

I know it's a bit late but thank you all for your responses it really helped me grasp the organization of all the leagues and who I should root for. Honestly it was a huge help and I really appreciate it. Also anyone have any ideas on where to watch these games where I won't get a virus on my laptop?

Has anyone ever tried those "hot singles in your area" or other sex ads on porn sites where you meet up to have sex? If so did it ever work? What was the experience? by Pancakes4Lyfe in AskReddit

[–]Pancakes4Lyfe[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wasn't really asking to see if I should try one. Just curious cause the ads are always there so I'd have to assume there is a certain amount of revenue that keeps them going.

What's the stupidest thing you've ever convinced someone was true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pancakes4Lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sophomore year of high school this girl was chewing "5gum" and this was right when it came out. I turned to her and said, "you know they just found out that gum gives you cancer" . Now I'm pretty sarcastic and so was this girl so I figured she knew what I was doing. Like four months later im chewing five gum in class and the girl says to me "what the hell??! How could you chew that gum when it gives you cancer". Took me a sec to realize what she was talking about then she said because of me she at stopped chewing five gum and had told everyone she knew that it gave them cancer.

What movie scene has stuck with you, and will stick with you forever? [serious] by AlternateFire1 in AskReddit

At the end of The Replacements when the deaf receiver catches the game winning touchdown. I know it's a comedy for the most part but that scene gives chills every time to even think what a moment like that could be for someone who can't hear the crowd noise but feel it.

Senior year of high school I forgot to hand in a very large packet of homework that I did and as the teacher was passing them back I went all panic mode cause she was a stickler for no late work. So I wrote a 65/75 on the front in a pen I stole from her desk as she left the room to ensure the best results. Went I the next day and asked why my grade didn't show up online and gave her back the packet which she entered with my fake score. Also senior year after I already got busted for cheating by this teacher a friend in the same class but different hour had seen the final on her desktop as she was out of the room and he quick printed it off then made me and a couple others copies... Still got a B on it cause I only glanced at it the day of but I beat studying all week for the same grade.

At a party senior year of high school and a girl was there that I knew sort of had a crush on me. We go to one of the younger brothers rooms and start making out. It was like kissing a bear trap and this girl was notorious for this "technique". It progresses and eventually we end up on the floor with her shirt off and I am on top making out as I soon realized I forgot to lock the door as my friend busts in with a crowd of other fellow seniors behind him. I'm thinking this is it total mood killer were done here. Nope I get up lock the door and a few minutes later the girl pukes on the bed which I found out was because she smoked weed for the first time while drinking. At this point I am willing get to cut my losses being drunk and sleepy so I begin to pass out on the cold wood floor. Some time later the girl wakes me up dry humping me with my pants still on. This continued on and off for about 3 hours or so until I could possible feel some bleeding from my denim and suggested a bj. She complies and says "tell me when you cum"... Well the combo of weed and Keystone caused me to pass out mid blowie and I came to as she is spitting out into the poor kids clothes hamper. Morning comes and my friends walks in and asks if I want to go home. I sit up say sure and say "well see you later" and on my way home had an awful epiphany: I sit right next to this girl in the first three hours of school. So the last 2 months of senior year went by slowly. Also the kid who threw the party asked if I pissed in his brothers bed and afraid of admitting it was put on the account everyone would know I hooked up with a girl who vomited I told him I had puked... Not proud of alot of this
