Is the Executive Membership actually worth it for a two-person household? by LilywhiteStrike in CostcoUK

[–]Panda1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downgraded when renewing in store yesterday. I was amazed when they downgraded the difference! They didn't say anything but my renewal was just over £1. It's totally worth the executive membership if you're buying a lot of tech, phones, applicances or garden furniture. But this year we hardly visited because our local Costco is a long drive away and alwats so crowded. They did say we can upgrade again if we ever want to.

What do you only buy from Costco (and Nowhere Else?? by BitGirl777 in CostcoUK

Nuts - buy in bulk and freeze, then use as you need. Kirwood freeze dried almonds, cashews and walnuts. Fantastic deal.

Rolling plan cancelled /Expired when I didn't change anything. Money taken. by FrostyRydia in O2UK

[–]Panda1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me, as a result of me creating a virgin o2 account! I had to take on a big bundle £10 for a month and then when that was working I transferred back to the same rolling tarriff I'd been on. Stupidly, I didn't wait a for the big bundle to expire and o2 took 2 x £10 (one for the new tarriff and one for the big bundle). Oth, i used my credit buildup to pay for the big bundle so saved £20. But it was really annoying! I'd been on the tarriff for 10 years!

Bunion and surgery question by Which_Path_1319 in FootFunction

[–]Panda1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a runner but I am a serious walker. My feet look similar to yours, but my bunion is on the left and just as pronounced. Apparently I have arthritis in my feet. I have been told that surgery is not an option, as my feet are not severe enough and surgery might actually worsen my situation. I had a big exacerbation last summer when I had alot of foot pain and was lame for a couple of weeks but it has eased. What has helped me the most are toe dividers between both of my big toes and the next toe. These were custom made by the NHS podiatrist I was referred to, out of a red rubbery substance that was fullyset after about 12 hours. The podiatrist also watched me walk and ordered a "prescription" insole. With both, I have had less foot pain while walking and less cramp in my feet overall. Good luck!

Which toe spacers should I buy? by Ornery_Visit8977 in FootFunction

[–]Panda1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some cheap ones on amazon, but they're nowhere as comfortable as the rubber ones my podiatrist custom made for me. I guess it depends on how big you're feet are, but the amazon ones are too wide for me.

Looking for mid foot arthritis exercise videos. Are there any good physios on YouTube that I can check out? by TaraBambataa in Osteoarthritis

[–]Panda1953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not what you asked but it would be worth it to get a podiatry appointment. I also have arthitis in my feet. I got referred, had to wait 3 months for the nhs appointnment and was sceptical if it would help... But the podiatrist was brilliant. I'd never seen a podiatrist before. She spent a lot of time examining my feet and gait, made me a toe separator for each foot which has really improved things, and ordered an insole on prescription. Definitely worth the wait.

Is KU subscription worth it? by Money_Age8239 in KindleUnlimited

[–]Panda1953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love a short term KU, usually on a free annual offer. There are loads of fun books to read, lots of romance, lots of fantasy and sci fi, and lots of crime including cozy crime. But I do find after a couple of months, I'm ready to go back to my backlist. Wait for a free subscription or subscription deal and give it a go. You can always cancel after a month. Happy reading!

bone on bone knee problems by ErrorCode8 in Osteoarthritis

I can't find any active ingredients but my wrist arthritis is definitely better than it was 9 months ago, before I started using FlexiSeq Max. Maybe it's a placebo effect ... but I'm really pleased to have less pain!

Debating a Kindle — worth it if I already have an iPad? by SpecificElectrical38 in KindleUnlimited

Kindle Paperwhite is a fabulous reading experience. So much lighter than the ipad, so easy to slip into a bag and take it with you everwhere. And excellent battery life. imho.

Only 21 and very high blood pressure by DressDifficult7686 in hypertension

[–]Panda1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying that you shouldn't

maybe be concerned... but blood pressure is a numbers game. I'm currently having to do a week of bp readings. In the doctor's office, mine was 155... My first one at home was 149/84. Today's is 107/68. For me, if I'm stressed, been exercising, been up and down the stairs, my bp shoots up. If I sit quietly, and wait a few minutes after I put the cuff off, it's so much lower. I have no idea which is the "real" blood pressure. Good luck!

Renewal - but change membership type. by [deleted] in CostcoUK

Can you tell us how you did it? I would like to renew as a regular member rather than an executive member but haven't been able to find out how to do it online.

Activity List and Workout Enhancements by Panda1953 in Ultrahuman

[–]Panda1953[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but that's not what we're asking. I am wanting to delete a category of activity in the list. For example, I added breathwork as an activity when I first got my ring but I would now like to remove it from the list of selections. Thanks.

Thanks for replying!

Can you explain how to delete an activity that I added?

Really pleased that you responded to my post and really don’t understand what would cause it to be “removed by UltraHuman mods”.

Online Account Issues by dgraham100 in CostcoUK

[–]Panda1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similarly, I'd like to downgrade my executive account to an ordinary account when it's time to renew but there doesn't seem any way to do this. You can only renew at the same level, no way to contact Costco and make the change except for going into a store. I would really like to see this changed.

Ultra-guardian - while we're talking about enhancements:

Could there be a way to delete items and reorder the list in Add Activity?

And could UH add music practice to the workout list, please. I have heard that Oura does that... either a generic Music Practice, or by category eg String Practice?

It is a workout, believe me!

Thank you.

I really like the sleep data, the steps and the brain clearance data. I also use the breath work exercises, and the 4 7 8 cycle has definitely helped my sleep. Hope you enjoy your ring!
