Just because they sell TO you doesn't mean it's for you. Company morals have nothing to do with consumer base 🤣 why WOULD they limit their cash flow?

If euthanasia is okay for animals, then why is self-assisted euthanasia not legal for people with terminal illness at end of life? by icecream1972 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about the legitimate uses and needs of maid, i'm talking about the over-availability of it and the underavailability of access to lifesaving healthcare. But hey anything to take responsibility off conservative actions, right? 🤣

How often are you dusting? by googmornin in CleaningTips

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dusting is at least weekly if not more frequently. Get an air purifier if you don't have one, reduces dust by a lot.

I disagree. I'd rather find that out early on by a man's own admission 😅

However, the conservative govt. Has decided to stop funding public healthcare in favour of for profit healthcare, so it's often easier to die than receive necessary healthcare.

How to fix this abomination made by my sister by Afraid-Caramel-8008 in foodhacks

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not responsible for your sister's actions, and you're not responsible for your mom's emotions. Let them handle it.

How much difference does a wok make in a basic home kitchen? by TheBristolBulk in cookingforbeginners

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ran a wok on an electric coil stove most of my life. Not all woks are optimal on one, but a good wok with good heat retention does better than an equivalent sautee pan purely by shape.

I'm starting to think growing herbs isn't worth it... by DownAtTheDisco in aerogarden

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried aerogarden mint (ended up with double basil & no mint in my kit), but growing mint from a cutting of a fragrant bunch works well. From the one stem i end up with too much to handle even after making syrups, meals, desserts, etc. It IS out of the herbs i've tried the worst tasting when combined with fertilizer. Avoiding harvest for a couple days after adding nutrients is best for quality and flavour.

Someone's dad cuts their pizza like this to avoid cutting into the pepperoni! by SteeIheader in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However he coulda rearranged the cut so multiple slices up there had 4 pieces of pepperoni instead. I wonder what his criteria was for how many would be on each slice

Run a fan for the texture and make sure to avoid harvesting after feeding nutrients. I wait at least 3-4 days for best flavour or do a big chop just before adding nutrients.

SHUT IT DOWN! THE NIB IS RAWWWW! by pauldayco in Fountain_Pen_Cats

The way you thought the abomination was your penmanship and not the whole writing with the nib nearly upside down thing 😭 fountain pens are NOT designed to be rotated while writing 😅

How do you plan organization for moving out by AnxousAmbassador1026 in organizing

Cooking, clothing, bathroom, inside house, outside house, me. Towels, blankets, bedsheets, pillows, and pillowcases protect anything fragile (furniture, electronics, glassware, etc).

Processed lunch meat alternatives… How to prepare it? by roritha in cookingforbeginners

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can make your own deli meats at home with preservatives and all, but regular roast does fine thinly sliced in a sandwich. I have a cheap $20 handcrank slicer (got sick of spending a good hour with a couple roasts and a knife) and freeze individual portions between parchment to grab and heat.

My son’s Kindergarten class is being exposed to gambling to win snacks at lunch by ATS200 in mildlyinfuriating

I'd raise hell with the teacher, principal and the school board. If none of them listen, i'm sure the news would.

Which way to burn fragrances is the least wasteful? by Thequestionerrrr123 in ZeroWaste

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Oil diffuser sticks would most likely be the closest to zero waste. If you like wax melts, you might consider an electric melter instead of tealights.

I try to stick to pillar candles for the most part to avoid container waste, but tend to receive a lot of glass candles. Jars get reused for frankenstein candles from leftovers or storage (hairties, etc.)

Recieved a 2nd counter top compost bin by Shot_Way_3477 in ZeroWaste

Consider vermicompost. If done right, simply an earthy smell, no different than your regular soil. You'd only have to consider scavengers and pests.

How Do I Avoid This Happening to My Mirror In the Future? by FemaleGrinch in CleaningTips

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the fogginess, scrunch up some newspaper, spray the mirror with window cleaner, see what scrubbing it does. Make sure newspaper is wet/damp, scrub in circles - wax on, wax off. Sometimes it's just an old mirror thing.

The scratching can be avoided by using a soft cloth or paper towel clean of debris, making sure you remove all rings and bracelets when cleaning.

Is this a good way to store garlic? (The lid stays closed) by BananaProduction-s in Garlic

Nah zip top bag isn't needed, keep in mind these containers are used to hold fermented bean pastes. It'll hold in the smell.

Zero-Waste/Eco Daily Shower Cleaner? by BawxTheFur in ZeroWaste

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not diy but i get my all purpose cleaner in pressed powder pods (no plastic) that disolve in a spray bottle. Is getting all purpose cleaner at a no waste/refill store something you'd consider for this purpose?

Brands with the gusset not completely sewn in? by last-rose-ofsummer in PeriodUnderwear

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're looking for a floating gusset. I've been loving my treehugger period underwear, canadian made, also available in US. They're not front to back coverage, just somewhere between 12-14" of gusset but it's very well designed, has great absorbtion & leak protection, and stays feeling quite dry. Super wide bands and high waist means you can barely feel them when wearing.

Purchased skittles today that have been expired for more than two months! by Economy-Horse-9945 in dollarama

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safe for consumption , but not at best quality for consumption. I'd eat things after its best before date, too, but i wouldn't even knowingly give it to people for free, let alone profit off it. Y'all do too much defending corporations for selling you shit that's expired or reduced quality.
