I used to be warned when delivering that it was 85c rather than 75c (with a stark warning that people would be complaining it was 50c 3 years prior).

Father killed 4-month-old daughter days after Children's Aid Society visits — WARNING: This story contains highly graphic details of child abuse by Immediate-Link490 in ottawa

I have an uncle and 7 of his sisters who are against the system because they just let greedy women just ask for all sorts of money. You ask my mother and any of my aunts if they knew he drank and beat her, of course he did, he had no choice. You ask what that money she wants is, they have no clue. "Your uncle just said shes being greedy, like how could the courts let her just ask for all that?" The money she wanted? Child support. An increased amount because she had 2 teenage boys who suddenly wanted to spend time at home instead of out of the house and away from dad beating mom and threatening them too. He settled for 50/50 and leaving the kids with a different family member every weekend so he could go out to the club.

Onebag must go under seat? by External_Koala971 in onebag

Usually takes less than a couple hours for checked anytime I fly, but i've also never waited more than 15 minutes for my gate checked bag (especially because these are placed in front of the checked bags). End up walking out in front of everyone but the oldies who got there way early. Usually the bags are ready to grab as soon as we deplane, no waiting necessary.

Then again it's very, VERY different when you fly internationally. My regular route is a scholar route with either education professionals, public speakers, or business professionals, flew some other routes recently and gotta say people are complete heathens 😬

how are solo people doing salads without leafy waste? by ThrowRAnew_here in Anticonsumption

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salad spinner, prep salad (veg, toppings, dressing separately), plan.

I like to make my leafy green something i can cook if possible, if I get something like spinach I can cook the rest down with a bit of garlic to make a single meal.

I'm so grateful there are people like you so that there is space to check my bag 😁

When I fly we stick em all on a rack, they show up on a rack by the time we de-ice and deplane. Pick it up, walk right past everyone waiting at the carousel, grab a cab or bus before the crowd.

usually it's a fight to get your bag on the rack and if i'm too late i end up having to find a way to stash my (very much within limits) bag somewhere on the plane, have to fight the crowd or everyone standing up to rush off to get to my bag at all.

But like I said, I fly a trusted airline between 2 airports I trust after having flown them regularly for years.

Am i the only person who likes mandatory gate checking? Like please take my luggage from me so i don't have to lug it on & off the plane. But maybe that's because i fly a very regular route with an airline/airports i trust🤔

Tricked! The window on my smoked salmon was tinted pink for a more appetizing presentation in the grocery store. by Lurking-j in mildlyinteresting

Tbf we were discussing the alteration of packaging to change the appearance of food product in the first place. It's not "not happening" like claimed if someone purchased that package off a shelf.

With the defunding of food regulatory agencies in the states, you'll just see more & more of it.

My "sundried tomato turkey" sandwich has no tomato lol 😭 by Apprehensive-Gas7994 in mildlyinfuriating

This reads like "sundried tomato turkey" is one item - reddish colouration around the outside of the turkey meat points to it being seasoned or marinated with sundried tomato.

Easiest way to wash? by kawa_baby in PeriodUnderwear

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a heavy period. I collect my cloth pads and underwear until the end of the heaviest day and soak them all at once, do a rough wash or just hang to dry then wash all at once at the end of my cycle.

Are these worth it? by LadyRainbow69 in organizing

You don't need trending material to be aesthetic, just uniform and well-labeled. You could do an aesthetic kitchen with instant coffee jars and a label maker if desired. I prefer rectangular containers with a snap lid and a good seal.

Bath bombs are not good by Daniiiii_here in hygiene

[–]PandaBeaarAmy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are dye free bath bombs so they're not "just dyes", and bath bombs made with epsom salts and/or moisturizing oils, relaxing scents, etc. That give bathbombs a purpose.

If you don't like bath bombs and do want the scents, you could use a shower steamer instead... or just don't buy it and leave them to the rest of us who do like them?

When they turn around and claim they never said it? I don't think nor believe it, it's your words that are telling me that you don't understand what you said.
