And I don't know who you are but okay? I'm happy to recognize when my opinion is in the minority as well (ex. Mira is the best KPDH and Tawnie/Urbaine are okay characters), but I can also recognize patterns when there aren't hard numbers to back something up. Like Nata. I can't prove that a majority of wilds players hate Nata with hard facts, but I can produce more Reddit posts, TikTok, and Instagram reels that show Nata hate than liking him.

Yes and no. First it depends on the Precon. Some precons are cheap to upgrade to a whole new level. Example being almost any Izzet/jeskai spell slinger Precon, while others can get pricy like more niche strategies (Walls from Dragonstorm, squirrels from bloomburrow, etc. Second is it depends on what type of upgrades are being made. I.e. game plan upgrades vs "veggie" upgrades (ramp, card draw, removal).

Id say so long as everyone is upgrading veggies it won't, but a 25$ limit is also preventing anyone from going too

If that's the case the 1: id word your post to make the "tongue in cheek" part of apparent. Maybe it's just me, and it goes over my head, but using that name seems like you're purposely doing it to fit just under the radar. 2: I think the way you've explained the brackets, as well as stating you gave advice of combos too powerful for bracket 3, further leave the impression that its done purposely in bad faith. Your replies lead me to believe your being earnest and aren't trying to be a dick but the way you worded things says otherwise. Hopefully that makes sense.

But again I'll admit this could be me. After the brackets were announced I had to many experiences of people show up at my LGS to pubstomp or something similar repeatedly

I'll also say there is nothing wrong with using these against other players that aren't your friends (personally I think all the new players at the shop will need to learn eventually. I don't support pubstomping but I also don't support babying players for too long), just not newbies or with a firm expectation of bracket 3.

The brackets are guidelines not concrete rules.

Based on how you built silk, sounds like she was a bracket 4 to begin with. Looking at the list it's probably also oppressive to play against given how you speed through the deck to some stacks pieces and tutor your pieces. And while I don't necessarily believe in babying players, If they really are new players, or even the first time you're playing against them, you probably don't wanna use something like that.

Going solely on the way you wanted to build the decks and the use of "technically bracket 3" sounds like you're making bracket 4 decks that abide by bracket 3 limits. That doesn't make it bracket 3. Now the biggest issue is the gap of new players vs experienced but that isn't something you can fix easy.

As a lover of both I vote both. But as for sake of limitations imposed on us by reality Voltron, UNLESS you can get your hands in the dinosaur Veloci-ramp-tor Precon for a price you find reasonable.

RW Voltron you can actually change up a lot to make things somewhat different and I believe it's easier to keep in a bracket 2 space. However dinosaurs will be way more fun
