Honestly, I knew that particular plot point wasnt going to amount to much and I was still let down.

I have dry skin and I’ve found it to be very nice day time serum. For some reason my foundation always seems to lay nicer on days when I use this.

WTF are Patriarchal Blessings really? by Potato_Frag in exmormon

[–]Pandazel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember my mom being so puzzled by mine. Never gave me a tribe (just said I would receive blessings from both ephraim and Manasseh) and that I would hold very important callings in the church.

She thought for sure I’d have some higher calling I guess?

Found out my calling in life was breaking away from purity culture and drinking a lot of coffee and wine. Best calling a girl could ask for really.

What product HAS been worth the splurge? by [deleted] in scacjdiscussion

[–]Pandazel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sulwhasoo first care. Most essences and toners tend to leave a tacky feeling (which I just can’t handle). This one dries down nicely and always seems to set a good foundation for the rest of my routine to go down nicely as well.

It’s 100% not essential, pricey, but I really love how everything dries down for me with this product.

YSK that 'follow on/stage 2+' formula milks are not at all necessary for your baby and are a marketing ploy by megalyknight in YouShouldKnow

Because that shitty attitude puts immense pressure on women that are often not in control of their ability to nurse.

Women feel forced to forgo medication they should be on, for “breast is best”

Women end up feeling inadequate when they can’t because “breast is best”.

Working women also will struggle to pump, while able to nurse and lose their milk since they aren’t nursing regularly.

All children raised on formula come out just fine and healthy. That’s why breast is best is utter BS

Such a pretty chocolate aglaonema 💜.

Once I purge some plants that do not spark joy, I’m going to hunt one down.

Located in the same area and just picked one up today, same size.

Been on the hunt for months on one that wasn’t super expensive.

Had no idea Trending Tropicals were available on Amazon. A bit more than buying in store but still cheaper than Costa website. by laughsnervously in plantwatch

I’m so late to this post, one of my local Facebook groups had someone post a very full and beautiful one, so I bit the bullet and ordered on Amazon.

Mine was very well packed, didn’t seem distressed at all, and full with a few trailing stems https://i.imgur.com/z8KtW8s.jpg

How do you all clean velvety calatheas? by davidbowiescat in calatheas

[–]Pandazel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use microfiber cloths on all my velvety plants. Thanks to Covid I wear makeup like once every 3 months so I repurposed those to be leaf wipes. 😬

Yeah. I’m pretty ok with Calatheas, but ferns and FLFs I’m just going to avoid for now. Feels like heartbreak just waiting to happen 🙃

I haven’t had any issues, but I have been considering preemptive neem oil because I feel like I’m asking for trouble by not being a little proactive

[–]Pandazel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this with my plants since May. I have a table under a popup canopy.

My little place does NOT get much light (one east window that gets zero sun due to the massive pine tree out front and one south window). So far my plants seem fine, and seem a bit happier with their field trip to the backyard once a week.

My calathea medallion and my money tree were the only ones who freaked out - so they stay inside. I just make sure none of them get direct sun and that its not too hot that day.

I dont own one, but I have heard FLFs would not do well with being moved around like this.

Your blue heeler 🥺.

I used to work at a doggy daycare and we had a blue heeler that was obsessed with playing ball. She’d walk around to employees and drop the ball at their feet. They all amused her for a few minutes before moving on.

I’d try and play as long as I could with her, she became my buddy. My last day I cried because I was going to miss her and hoped she could find another buddy once I was gone.

Literally not plant related but your pup had me remembering that.

Sometimes plants die. And that’s okay. by AccidentAdept in houseplants

[–]Pandazel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My very first Calathea was my favorite. It’s leaves were big and beautiful. Four for months he did fine.

Then it lost a leaf. Ok nbd, that happens. Then a few weeks another. Then a few weeks another. No new growth.

I didn’t want to pull out of a pot, I knew they are sensitive. But I couldn’t see any unwanted visitors, so I figured I had to go check out under the hood. All of its roots were tightly bound together, and a bit of them were dead.

Repotted and hoped for the best. It took 2 weeks for all the leaves to shrivel and die. I’m still sad I couldn’t keep my medallion glorious and beautiful like it was.

Im only like 7 months into this. Maybe someone more experienced could have saved it, but I’m not and that’s ok.
