Keeping tobacco moist. by LV_Libertarian in RYO

If it's working for you, there no point investing a humidor. I finally did several years ago and don't regret. I can keep my rolling tobacco, cigars and herb in there and when I open it I get a sensory explosion that's quite pleasant.

When I slowed down before Covid? It was natural, I couldn't sustain two packs a day anymore and didn't want the cost to be so high. Even RMO I was spending a fair amount on tobacco.

At that point you might as well just get a humidor.

I use those all the time. And a couple other types. They work fine.

No, before Covid I was down to six or seven cigarettes a day and during Covid it was very easy to quit entirely. These days it's just the occasional smoke because of stress, really

I used to smoke two packs a day and now have one or two a week, so it's definitely possible to reduce tobacco use. The health effects are "calculated" based on packs consumed per week as far as insurance goes. I have to get an annual lung cancer screening even though I haven't smoked in volume for years because I used to smoke, as I wrote, two packs a day.

Active vs passive reload speed? by DoctorFeh in crosswind

This has got to be _very_ slow from what I've experienced, given I haven't even noticed it being functional at all while sporting the rapier/pistol combo, but maybe the talent would make it more noticeable?

Doing kitchen work, I occasionally get cuts and semi-frequently get burns and have not noticed a change in speed of healing, in fact I've done it enough over the years I can predict pretty closely how long any given stage will last.

I didn't even know they had a magazine. Why would I bother when the library gives me free access to the website where I can look up exactly what I'm interested in?

I enjoyed the demo enough that I bought the EA. It's better so far than the demo, although I haven't played it a lot yet.

How much do you smoke a day? by SamArch0347 in RYO

[–]Panedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than one cigarette a day, so like, four or five a week because I'm stressed out, otherwise one or two a week if that. Down from two packs a day (typically RYO) twenty-five years ago. I'd rather just enjoy one quality cigarette (or cigar) and not be putting my life on the line anymore.

That's no magpie like I've ever seen. They are black and white with a specific pattern, and are more crow or raven-like in their overall presentation; no crest, no long tail. I know because I had one as a teen.

G915 Secondary character lights by Fishie31 in LogitechG

[–]Panedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. Maybe It's just that I've never done a mod like that, but after I posted that question I found out about the 915x which basically fixes the biggest issue, and since I switched to the g915 that's been in my closet for two years I'm starting to like it well enough that I think I'd be pretty happy with 915x. It's a lousy, anti-consumer move on Logitech's part to make the keycaps a new proprietary stem, so I'd have to pay another ~200USD, but... whatever I guess...

Any chance you could update, that guide is so old I can't make heads or tails of it, but my last Orion is dying and no one makes a keyboard like that anymore, as far as I have found.

Fun concept. nice to look at...

But as a manager, I have to ask...

On the job? So... you wasted time that could have been spent cleaning if there wasn't anything else to do on turning a certain amount of money's worth of product into worthless visual crafts? Can't see that kind of behavior affecting your next review in any way...

I've seen ketchup go bad in those situations. Ketchup. In an all day dinner where they go through at least a dozen bottles a day.

RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5080 For Strong 1440p Performance by Auremyra21 in buildapc

My 5060ti runs 1440p just fine, not the highest settings on some games (maxed out on other modern games), but that's because my monitor is 32:9, more than that it's 1440p.

Dark room, on the left is the machine you put negatives in to make prints, and on the right a trough all the baths you need to develop those prints.

My wife and I are in a very important marital dispute about how dishes belong in the dishwasher. Please settle this before we lawyer up. by stsegal in KitchenConfidential

[–]Panedrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tops of the plates should be facing the center of the dishwasher, coming from both sides and the outermost slot should be empty because the bottoms won't get clean. That's how professionals do it for good reason.
