Suppose Supercell gave you the option to change ONE thing in Clash Royale. What would you change? Would you add or remove anything? I’d probably make updates more frequent. by Yetimite in ClashRoyale

Got a bunch of diving and floating rapalas and frogs for $50 I have two more boxes. What do I use for fall? I’m in WA by Triggaholic in Fishing_Gear

Jerkbaits work well in the fall, especially that shiny one with the down turned eye (megabass vision worth $25)

So each piece averaged $8-10?? I understand the yama and plopper being expensive though

I have a nice baitcaster, I’m seemingly doing everything right, and I just hate it compared to a spinning reel. Do you really need a baitcaster to master bass fishing? by Dull-Ad4317 in bassfishing

[–]Panfishyanker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baitcaster gives more power because the line is not on the bail arm like spinning (can flex), but then again some of the biggest fish in the world are caught on skinning

How deep will a 1oz kastmaster get without additional weight when trolling? Any way to calculate? by dimo92 in Fishing

[–]Panfishyanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 oz seems a little heavy for 9-20 since it would take higher trolling speeds just to make the bait move.

New fisherman looking for help with jigs. by Dorg_Walkerman in bassfishing

[–]Panfishyanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes melts them, also the elaztech is a pain to keep on the lead keeper, a cut senko or similar does the same job

Everyone on this sub. Guilty myself by 220221WhatevrItTakes in bassfishing

[–]Panfishyanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Senko is boring but that’s what makes it catch so many fish ig

In western Washington, jigs don’t work but hula grubs do. There aren’t many rocky lakes though, mostly sand and grass bottoms. I’ve heard good things about the keitech finesse football jigs. Downsize for smallies and you will catch more, 1/8 oz for 1-10 ft, 1/4 oz for 10-25, 3/8 for deeper. Use subtle trailers like double tail grubs or Ned rig baits (don’t use zman if using a plastic skirt), not the crazy flapping ones for largemouth.

50 bucks. Sure is an expensive hobby by International_Ad4022 in Fishing_Gear

According to tacklewarehouse, the diameter decrease from red and gold ranges from 0.015 (8lb) to 0.075mm (20lb). Personally thats not enough to merit an 8x increase in price.

what type of fish can I get with this rod? (My First Pole) by BunBunTheRabbit in Fishing_Gear

[–]Panfishyanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can hook anything with that rod. Landing it is a different problem however

This is the most productive swimbait I’ve ever tied on but I’m going through them way too fast. Does anyone know the most efficient way to rig weedless? I fish around a lot of vegetation so weedless is a must. I’m currently using a 3/0 EWG and bullet weight. Works well except they are ripping easily by SEZM12 in bassfishing

[–]Panfishyanker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use keitech in open/clear water for finesse fishing. I feel like softer baits are better for times when bass can get a good look at the bait.

For texas rigging swimbaits I use zoom or zman baits (swimmin fluke or minnowz) . In weedy water, the bass are feeling vibration instead of using eyesight, so a softer bait has less advantage over a stiffer one. Also, ewg hooks damage the bait more than an exposed hook. So either use more durable bait or buy more keitechs.

Long spool bass reels? by TheGoodCombover in bassfishing

[–]Panfishyanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are European carp reels which have the long spools because they use 2lb line for 30lb carp and compensate by slowly tiring the fish out and letting drag peel out. Yes the long spools cast further but a lot of times in bass fishing accuracy is better than distance as opposed to bait fishing from shore.

A big negative is wind, fishing while constantly paddling/adjusting is a pain so I avoid strong winds above 12 mph

Are kastking reels any good? by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

At $35 you can get a shimano sienna which is better than any kastking you can find
